  1. I have heard lots of stories of Rota wheels breaking, seems you have to buy a rabbits foot at the same time as purchasing the wheels.

First hand or on this wonderful thing we call the interweb?

EDIT: Sorry, shoudl have read the rest of the thread before asking that.

  2. god i hate those failside arches.

they look good when blended but that causes a whole world of problems.

zedrush used to have them blended in if i recall, looked stunning.

Nope Jay's werent blended............ its because his was black... it didnt stand out as much. But his 350z was perfection :cloud9:

They were on his first Zed and cracking IIRC.

  3. The X6 has an identity crisis going on....

    Is it a 4x4

    Is it a car....

It's ugly I know that for sure... Clarkson tested it and hated it's inability to serve either purpose on road or off road!! :yuck::thumbdown: oh and it starts at £45k - what a way to throw money down the pan!

I wouldn't take any review by Clarkson on TG too seriously - the X6 is a soft target for an attack.

I quite like it because there's no real reason that all 4x4s should be square boxes or drive like trucks. The harsh reality is that most never go off road or need to be uber practical. This Harman version is pretty vile though... :yuck:

  4. That one at Georgesons has been on for months and has dropped at least £2k in asking price. May mean they'll do a deal or may mean its a dog. Be aware if you go and see it that it has a non-standard exhaust which, if its a good one, could be a selling point but potentially could be an ear bleeder. Not wanting to put you off but just advising caution. :)

  5. If you have an excess on your policy you will have to pay it if you claim. The insurance company may waive it before you pay if they think the case is strong and they will get their money back, or refund it later if they do get the money back from the other guy's insurers. However, they are neither obliged to waive it or reclaim it for you - it is an "uninsured loss". Check your policy terms to be sure as different companies vary.

If your insurers recover everything they pay out they should restore your NCB. Again, as said above, some use the fact that you actually had an accident, albeit non-fault, to raise your premium come renewal. IIRC Admiral rely on stats to say that if you have had a non-fault accident you are more likely to be involved in another accident!

Check your policy to see if you have legal expense cover. You can use this to pay for a claim for any "uninsured losses" you do not recover from your own insurer. You may also have it on your household policy or credit card.

To the guy who suggested it would be a Cat D - I very much doubt it for such minor damage.

    HTH. :)
