Last night I watched the video footage on the Sun website of the fire fight in Afghanistan and the soldier getting shrapnel in his face. The lad is actually the son of a friend of mine (Phil if you're reading this, Martin) and finding him on the front of the newspapers over a month after the incident has been a bit of a surprise. That sort of unedited frontline footage really shocks you when you realise what these young guys are facing every day. Our boys are doing a fantastic job out there and its devastating whenever we hear of another life lost.

Similar problems with my iphone 3G. I guess if I restore the settings I'm back to where I was when I bought it and not back to the last OS I had.

when I first saw this I thought it was a similar size to the RR Sport, ie a bit smaller than an Audi Q7 - looking at the youtube clips either all the people are 7' 6" tall or this is the size of a ford focus

just got my new desire yesterday, will take a similar piccy to make a comparison direct comparison

I really think it looks great but it confuses me. Its £30-35k right? And its being aimed at women...but clearly not mothers as its got 3 doors. If I'm getting this right its going to be marketed as a chunky looking fashion accessory for wealthy childless women (or possibly a second car for mothers) - a sort of pumped up Audi TT but £10k more. It may well be very succesful on that basis but am I missing something?

Because the spokes on the wheel go to the edge of the rim I would go 19 as the circumference of the rim fits the angle of the arch better.

Can we have that in English?

I'd say that as the spokes come out to the edge of the rim the 18s will look a size up on the OEM Rays.

If I were to go for the Work's I would just pay up the price to get them from the UK, Only £900.

 

The Weds Sport's on the other hand are £1500 for the 18's and more for the 19's (+ Spacers).

 

Who are you planning to buy from? I say this as IIRC Newera aren't suppliers, they just import from Japan for you and you have to pay the import duty and VAT on the price they advertise.

Ah, I see you bought the Blackpool car off ebay. I was wondering what the score was with the exhaust - did they not give any explanation as to why half of it was missing? Anyway it looks like a reasonably cheap base for a project car.

its not a 2008 car, its the 296 version and not the 313, probably got registered in 2008 after sitting somewhere for ages.

Agree its an MY06 not MY07 that's been sitting about before registered.

You can't put a non-bulge bonnet on an MY07.

Horrible but not the worst I've ever seen by a long shot. Those Yanks are ruthless though....

When I bought the MX5 I was surprised that the leather rim on the wheel seemed to have faded. That was in November and it wasn't until the sun came out in April and I took the top down that I realised that it was 60k miles of the previous owners make-up covered hands that had actually caked the thing in make-up!

It was a sod to get off as the stuff had got right into all the wrinkles in the leather but looked much better afterwards. Just used some household leather cleaning wipes.
