  2. no news on the auto DJ? i always wondered what that was for on my JDM
  3. someone beat you to it http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230030631852&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_ReBay_Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT&refitem=230022645934&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=CategoryProximity&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget or is this you? (based Tamworth)
  4. I have the full kit, including the front bumper, you may be able to sell on the surplus bits to someone who has had a prang and had to get a respray too. PM me with an offer, am open to offers, after all you know how much the full kit goes for.
  5. where you based leenx? I have a set to get rid of but have avoided selling them as postage will be sky high, although surely with the new post office costing structure I may be able to send them for 50p
  6. are you Sid James in disguise? or are you living in a time warp? I bet you live in a house with swirly pattern carpet, drink pop from the soda stream, ride to school on your chopper, play top trumps at lunchtime and then get home and watch Magpie on your 18" Ferguson telly
  7. ask the insurance to insure it based on the chassis no rather than the reg. most companies will
  8. only had it 6m and it kept in the loft, nice and dark and cool
  9. Why didnt he just buy a Diesel the mong? did nt realise the Z came in that derivative my jag is lpg and at a cost of 37p/l I calculated 25k miles to break even on the conversion costs, assuming it added not a penny to the resale value had mine done here http://www.f1automotive.com/index.htm and he has a tweaked Evo as his demonstrator which has more power than the Z. He claims it is even better suited as it is turbocharged, which fits well with LPG. doesnt cost a penny more on the insurance and as Im doing high miles is a better choice for me. High mileage Z's are hard to shift. Given the lack of boot space and the fact the spare if a space saver (IIRC) I doubt if you will get a decent tank in there, and you can only fill the tank to 90% of its specified capacity. so probably not the best suited car but dont reject this conversion for performance cars
  10. Hi, does anyone out there want a full set of computer cut 3M paint protection film? includes bonnet, bumper, wing mirrors and (I think sills). I imported this from the US with a view to having my bumper resparayed and the film fitted by a mate at a local window tint company. The film comes boxed and with an istallation dvd, though the reseller did not recommend this as a DIY fit. the bumpers do not contain the wash nossle cut out so would more suit a JDM, though they can easily be cut out. I think the film cost me in the region of £300 excl the £36 duty they made me pay but dont get me started on that one. as many of you are aware I sold my Z when we had our child and unfortunately the kit does not fit the x-type estate am moving house too so need the dosh, make me an offer, drop me a PM, before in goes to ebay can provide pics but it aint so exciting a coiled up roll of transparent plastic
  11. Breaking News from the BBC A public school teacher was arrested today at Gatwick Airport as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a set square, a slide rule, and a calculator. At a morning press conference, Home Secretary John Reid said he believes the man is a member of the notorious Al-gebra movement. He did not identify the man, who has been charged by the Met Police with carrying weapons of maths instruction. "Al-gebra is a problem for us," Reid said. "They desire solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in a search of absolute values. They use secret code names like 'x' and 'y' and refer to themselves as 'unknowns', but we have determined they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with co-ordinates in every country. As the Greek philanderer Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle". When asked to comment on the arrest, Prime Minister Tony Blair, speaking from his holiday resort before the planes stopped flying, said, "If God had wanted us to have better Weapons of Maths Instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes."
  12. Will find out when they tell me where it is / when the recovery have picked it up for a second time from the lab. Not sure how they plan to 'pick it up' with no wheels though.........??? probably just dragged it up the ramp of a towtruck
  13. what, and he isnt going to get the job now? I always said the police were a bunch of t*$$ers
  14. I did have the Z for a couple of weeks after the baby was born and then it became clear it would not work. Mundane things like picking the kid up from nursery, having had my wife drop her there would not work as the passenger airbag cant be deactivated. pram would not fit in the boot, buggy might, but cant really put them in a buggy til 6 months old. glad I got rid off it really, much prefer us all travelling together, not in convoy and all in safety, my Mrs has a BMW compact, which may have worked as is much better than a Micra, no disrespect intended. just wished I had thought a bit longer over the replacement
  15. must disagree, here. was in the same situation a year ago and ended up selling the Z. when there is the 3 of you, you will soon tire of going everywhere in a Micra believe me. I agree you deserve a decent car and there are sporty ones out there with 5 seats, that you can still enjoy driving to work. I would not get a 2+2 as you may consider it practical, but it aint the baby that takes up the room it is all the @*!# you need for them, moses basket, changing mat, pram, steriliser etc etc. I made the mistake of going the whole hog and getting an X type estate. wish I had got something more sporty now, maybe a scooby estate (legacy or impreza), BMW 330ci etc etc, the list is endless. she may says she wont mind you getting the Z but Im sure it will come up in arguement some time down the track. Think of the brownie points you will gain too, will be good for serveral nights out while she babysits
  16. lack of marks and stone chips probably represents that they bulid their roads better, dont just throw a bit of tar and gravel over the top of existing road
  17. clearly no-one knows, and I thought this forum was full of geeks who work in I.T. Gauntlet issued

Shouldm't be that hard to do. Go have a go get some practise then you can do mine posted this 7 months ago - dont even have a Z now, so cant practice on mine, is it alright if I just get on with doing yours?
  22. get on all the review sites and dis them badly
  23. dealers often list 52s as 2003, cos half of them were and also if you try getting an insurance quote on a 2002, you often cant on line, as even though you select Fairlady they start in 2003
