  1. I own a 2016 370z Nismo with 25k miles. I am the second owner of the car and bought it August 2019 when it had 18500 miles. The gears have always been notchy which was expected but recently the last few months its been really difficult to change from 1st to 2nd. 1. There is a lot of resistance trying to go into 2nd so I wait and don't force it then it falls in and 2. There is a grinding gear sound most of the time if I have to try change gear without waiting. This happens both warm or cold and high or low rpm. I've lost confidence in the car with shifting from 1st to 2nd which is a real shame because I love driving it. I'm a sensible driver (not boring) and don't rag the car very much I just enjoy the ride. Could this be a sign of bad/worn synchros? I've checked and upon buying the car from an infinity dealership it came with nissan extended warranty, would this be for a 12 month period? Any thoughts what route I should take from calling up a dealership to changing the tranny oil to redline mt-85?
  2. Hi all, 16 Nismo I went to a nissan dealership today to try and have the ASC turned off, I went into the workshop with the technicians and saw the CONSULT system they use. They found the option to turn off the Active Sound Control and turned it off aswell as the ANC which I witnessed because I wanted it gone. After that I went for a drive but could still hear it, took it back again asked to be hooked up and to see if the options were off which they double checked and made sure they were off however I can still hear the unnatural whining even when I'm in neutral coasting at 50-60 mph any reason why? I know some people call it ASE but in the AV it only states ASC which I got turned off, any help? Thanks
  3. Yeah not to worry and yeah picked it up last August and been loving it ever since! And no need! It's all good, thank you for your help anyway
  4. Yeah I have the nismo recaro seats, still have the Bose speakers in the front just thought it was weird it didn't have the sub, ohwell lol and that's what I was thinking but just wanted to see if it was worth the hassle getting an aftermarket sub and amp. Thanks for the help
  5. Hi all, Unfortunately I found out the hard way as this was my first nissan, found out after I bought the car that it has either had the original BOSE sub removed or just didn't come with it. So I was wondering whether I should buy the original sub or get a different one. I've seen that newer and older years have different connectors so just to clarify I have a 16 Nismo. Thanks
  6. Thanks for the help guys, will look at yours thread now
  7. Just looking if anyone has replaced the bulbs for their reverse and side lights to LEDs and which ones did they went for? Cheers
  8. Ah righteo sorry about that, I previously owned a Mercedes a class so definitely not a sports car haha. I'll see how it goes for the time being and if it gets worse I'll be sure to look for those specialists in the forum. Thank you very much for getting back to me and for your advice, much appreciated.
  9. Hi all, I'm new to the whole forum and 370z scene so abit of a noob so apologies in advance. I currently just picked up my 2016 370z Nismo. It has 18000 miles on the clock. This could just be me overthinking as with the car being a young age and with low mileage it shouldn't be having clutch problems unless the previous owner butchered the transmission lol. So here's the scenario, my 370 is stationary on a flat bit of ground, handbrake is down and clutch is engaged and in 1st gear, as I slowly disengage the clutch the car should pull and move a couple mph, (with my previous car I could ghost into a fair few gears without touching the throttle) but with my 370 it will just start to try stall so I have to touch the throttle to stop this from happening, this also makes reversing a lil bit of a pain. I can live with it the way it is I just want to make sure a big issue isn't on the horizon. Any advice would be much appreciated, as I'm only 20 I think the inexperienced side of me is kicking in lmao. Thanks
