  1. So does anyone have any good links to the fitment of extra gauges? I'l like to add some but would rather not use a pillar pod. I've though about adding them in the cubby but not sure that analogue gauges would be easy to read in there. Has anyone replaced the OEM gauges with aftermarket? Will the car run with those disconnected? I think the AC can cause cause some strangeness if left unconnected.
  2. So I have now found an oil sandwich plate for sensors, Oil temp and pressure sensors and gauges. Oh dear... I'm looking at VDO gauges as they'll be a good match for the OEM gauges in look and colour. What have you started 🤣
  3. about time I started messing with the car again. There are a few things I want to do but it fell off the end of my ever longer list of things to do! 😆 also @Willsy1980 if you can direct me to any nice installs of gauges that would be nice (I mean dangerous!). If I get oil pressure I may as well get temp to

  5. So I've not been here since 2019. That being said, I've got nothing to say. Cars been perfect, only 2 things have happened. No1 Coil Pack failed, easy fix and some issues that I'm having with my oil pressure gauge/sensor. I feel like I'm at the top of a slippery slope. Someone said I should get after market gauges 😆
  6. My preference would be to get the factory one working (even if its not that accurate it'll be staring at me) If that doesn't work, well I guess I'm adding some gauges.... 🤫 Anyone know the thread of the pressure sensor. Oh dear. This will be a slippery slope lol
  7. Been a long time since I was last on this forum properly. Just been busy with life. I don't have any good pics of my car, use my camera for shooting race cars instead. I did always like this one though, from my trip to Spa a few yeas ago.Popping back onto here is making me want to mod the car again.
  8. Thanks sounds like a good shout. I was speaking to zman in the background and he also said about ground testing. That being said I think I'm going to take it to nisstec over in Swansea. It's hard to get the car up high enough to work on, don't really want to repeat it again!
  9. Hi, I'm at a bit of a loss. Last year my Oil pressure went from reading fine until one day it maxed out at 120psi. That would normally lead you to the sender being faulty. I had that replaced but then the gauge hardly read anything. It was basically at 0 on idle. So figuring it was a faulty sensor I ordered a new one from Zman. I finally fitted that today and now I'm back at 120psi (before the engine starts) I'm a bit lost here. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the car so that leaves me at either bad luck and its a DOA sensor or a problem with the gauge. Does anyone have any ideas? Don't want to keep throwing money at it. I'm wondering if in the middle of all of this, oil gallery gasket failed? That being said, mine is a Rev-up and all signs point to that issue only affecting the HR?
  10. Part number was 25070-CD00A
  11. I'll have the part number tomorrow the mechanic that I use was working from a different location today so didn't have the invoice to hand. However we're both in agreement that it must be a broken or incompatible sensor. Oil is up to the max on the dip stick. As said, the only reason its not gone straight back to the garage I use is that its an hour away from me (trusted place) and just didn't want to risk engine damage for something I might be able to figure out closer to home first.
  12. It will be going back to the garage but I'm just doing some digging at the same time. I'll find out the part number
  13. @ZMANALEX Are you aware of any Nissan Sensors that may get sent out instead of the correct Oil Pressure sender? It was ordered from Nissan and I'm just wondering if an incorrect one has been sent, just wondering if its something you've come across before? Not having much luck just yet finding a garage that either has the time or a mechanical gauge... Only reason its not gone back to where it was serviced is that its a bit of a drive and I want to rule out the low pressure before taking it further than just down the road. Than said, it drive me home an hour the other day before I even looked at the sensor!
  14. Hi guys, I'm after some advice here. My oil pressure has been reading perfect since I got the car 2 years ago. The other day the gauge started reading 120psi with the engine off so it seemed that installing a new sender was the most likely fix and i had a service due so good timing. New sensor installed and now I'm barely getting over 25PSI on cold when driving. If I turn the aircon off on idle I will sometimes get the oil pressure light on. This all seems a little odd to me given that there were no issues before hand and now there suddenly is. New sender is genuine Nissan and has been confirmed as the right part number. Have I just got unlucky with a DOA sender? Car is a Rev Up 07 plate with 108k miles on it new 5w 40 oil . Later this week I'm hoping to get a mechanical gauge fitted to see what its really reading. Any thoughts? Everything else I've seen on this has been new sender fitted all issues solved.
  15. On a side note, as the car works with the one sensor unplugged. Would I be ok to use it with it unplugged tomorrow? I don't imagine it would cause any lasting issues just maybe some poor mpg?
  16. I've got it home, just going to get a Sensor from Zman. Seems this one from GSF is a paperweight
  17. Nah, tired several times now but it seems this is a DOA. Can drive the car about 100m before it just dies. After that I won't idle, just keeps dying.
  18. Nevermind! Turns out it wasn't seated correctly. Embarrassed lol but this might help someone else
  19. Changed the sensor and now the car won't start? Get a too rich error now. Any thoughts?
  20. Oh thanks! I'll keep an eye on that. I have a feeling that it might be plastic though. What price do you have them for? PM? I might cancel the order with GSF as i'm not 100% sure I'm going to get the right one, the website wasn't very clear in hindsight. If it helps, mine is an 07 plate.
  21. Thanks, however I ordered one from GSF as it was 60% off. Am I right in it being the drivers side?
  22. Hi all, This code came up on the car today: P1078 Exhaust Valve Timing Control Position Sensor Bank 1 Circuit Done all the usual ECU clears etc and it keeps coming back. I've not found that much info but am i right in thinking that this is the Drivers side Cam Sensor?
  23. No just the crossing time. Could probably add an hour on to be safe for passport and loading
  24. its about 1hr 30min. Longer but as I was driving by myself it was a nice break. The crossing fell at the exact half way point for me.
