  2. When I wrote my celica off, they asked about the front splitter and skirts despite them being oe from factory. I'd declared them anyway, but talking to the insurers I got the impression that non declaration would mean they would pay or for a factory spec car. As it was I got cover for the car as well as the mods. It was flood/ water damage for me.

  3. To me it sounds like a worn clutch that is starting to slip. As above though, are you lifting the clutch quickly, or feathering it? If feathering i'd say its normal, I often do it with my diesel daily when in traffic.

  4. 1.6 diesel Astra for me. 16 plate. It's got cruise control and Bluetooth and the full nav pack. We took it too Newquay in summer and did 72mpg at 75mpg fill of holiday clothes and family. It pulls well, but whenever I get back in the zed I can't help but exclaim oohh yes.

  5. It's great that a lot of you want a calender, and the quality is ace and well worth it, but @SuperStu could do with some more entries otherwise there'll be no calendar. Your car doesn't need to be an immaculate show car, god knows mine made it in last year . Send him your best shots. It makes having it even better when you make it in.  If you have autumn or winter shots, it'll increase your odds.

  6. Also, I like most of you on this forum (not met everyone), no matter political, religious etc views. You've all helped me with my zed and we've had interesting discussions of various topics. Can we not get so personal on this thread please? By all means throw internet findings at each other,  but no mud slinging.

  7. I disagree with war comments. It wasn't us against all of Europe. It was half of Europe against half of Europe. We won by uniting.

Edit: I'm well aware rest of the world was involved.

  8. It is like watching a novis play chess thinking about the next move. If I was eu and we're going to use gb as an example unto others, allow a no deal. Watch us start trade with row. At next g8 impose a carbon footprint tax where distance travelled is even more heavily penalised. It'll pass because it's hipster and green. How would we afford that? Canada and aus don't care, we're not their neighbour, or their biggest trade partner.

Good point If we were actually divorcing them and leaving without anything (hard brexit) we would be discussing the settlement figure only (as per a divorce), but we are trying to form a business deal with them, two very different things.

So we're getting a divorce but have children with shared custody?!?

  10. Nice. I need to sort my Y pipe out as that started blowing, but I've taken mine off the road for winter (company car) and the mot isn't until September. Also one of my cooling fans has decided it doesn't want to play any more so I have that to play with. That and some tidying up jobs, wiper arms, interior trim and maybe colour code door handles. I'm tempted to wrap headlights too before spring. Zeditis never ends
