Hi,
Can anyone post up some pictures of their genuine Nissan tonneau cover brackets from the bottom and on top please?
I've gone to fit mine today and the fitment is rubbish. Nothing seems to line up and there's a big gap around the edge of the cover itself.
Alternatively if anyone's free for me to have a nose at theirs tomorrow (chelmsford/Essex area) I'd be grateful.
Thanks,
Dom

That was quite special.

Got a whiteline set from Clarke Motorsport and being fitted Monday. I have a DE motor.
-
Hopefully being delivered on Monday so I will fit them in the evening. Can post back and let you know if you like.

That's a big coincidence.. I tried fitting my tonneau cover today and am missing the same fittings you're talking about.
I just ordered mine here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/361830776095
I got the the thread sizes from another thread on the forum, M4 x 11 (0-2mm).

Ok, so far my shopping list is looking like this:
Headunit
Fascia, steering controls
https://incartec.co.uk/Pages/Product.aspx?P=4482
Patch lead
https://incartec.co.uk/Pages/Product.aspx?P=2643
Reading other posts it seems there's not much point in upgrading the rear speakers unless you're after a high end setup. But, doing the fronts can make a difference, so... can anyone recommend any 6.5" front speakers that will be noticeably better than the Bose ones? Although I can spend up to £100, I don't really know if I will benefit spending at my top end. E.g. is there really much between these two:

Sorry.. I've not done much on the audio side before. Thoughts?

The link for the steering controls was broken, but I think this is the equivalent: http://caraudiosecurity.com/29-674-nissan-350z-bose-steering-control-interface-adaptor
It does however say "Must be used with patch lead to suit make of head unit being fitted."
Is that likely to be included with the new HU?

Looks nice. Like the texture around the bezel, might blend in well.
Will take a look at the link thanks.

Yeah I did read that. In past I've usually found most Bluetooth devices will work with Android despite the iPhone disclaimer. Can't hurt to ask the seller though..
Is there a specific steering wheel control adapter for blaupunkt or can you get a universal jobbie?
-
Hey,
I'd like a bluetooth stereo (Android phone) for my 350z, and want to retain both my steering wheel controls and relatively stock look.
I'm probably not going to nuts on adding additional speakers, sub etc. so looking for opinions on something like this guys: http://www.ebay.co.u...gwAAOSw-0xYc1oy
What you think? If there's something else better quality etc, with orange leds I'd love to know.

Been meaning to get a service done for a few months but just didn't get round to it. I don't do many miles so just as well.
Booked in next week for a service stamp, for following (went a bit mad):
Engine oil
Gearbox oil
Differential oil
Brake fluid
Clutch fluid
PAS fluid
Coolant
Air filter
Spark plugs
Oh.. Torqen spacers and polybush diff mounts!

Lol small world. Just need to get Stu on board now

Hey, am I right in thinking you're the same chap who helped with Stu on my MR2 dizzy issue?

Cool. I didn't clear them since I wanted to get the diagnostic done by a garage approved by my warranty company.
Ok, well on that basis I'll go ahead with the test tomorrow.
Thanks all

So I should add that the warranty doesn't cover diagnostics, so as the light is now off I feel like I'm spending 50 quid for nothing.
I guess my question should be, are the codes stored in the ECU memory?

Hi,
Last weekend I did a 450 mile round trip to the Peak District. On the Sunday whilst I was there the EML light came on whilst I was poodling through Tesco car park (in the rain). Obviously being ~200 miles from home I was a bit twitchy about this so I followed the procedure to read the codes which came back as O2 sensor bank 2 maxium voltage (I have the actual codes written down).
Happy that it was nothing catastrophic I continued on with my weekend, and the drive back home with the EML light on the whole time. I had no performance issues whatsoever, and I returned a health 27.1 MPG.
2 days after getting home I started the car and the light didn't come on.
I have about 1 month left on my warranty with the dealer so I'd booked up a diagnostic test which is required by the warranty company to prove that there's a fault - but now I don't know whether I should bother getting it done now as the EML light doesn't show. (It'll be sods law that after my warranty runs out the light will come back!)
What do you guys think?
Thanks

That has been a bit of a concern of mine. I'm planning to be able to do the larger flat areas and where there are soft curves mainly.
Any hard edges will do by hand still.

Just got in from another manual clean, polish and wax..
Thanks for the links. I'll have a nose tonight. Whichever one I get I'll post back and let you know how I got on.
-
Yeah, the one I have is like the two handed one pictured.
Any recommendations/links for a good polisher? I'm happy to pay for something decent upon recommendation.
