What type of gain are you looking for? What amount of BHP increase would you think was value for money?
When I did mine, I had HFC's, Spacer and MREV2 lower plenum added and probably gained around 20 BHP. You aren't going to get much more than that with NA tuning. The remap was probably worth it for the better drive-ability in 1st and 2nd. In hindsight, I might not have spent the money on the spacer etc. if it was just for performance gains. However, my car sounds absolutely awesome, so from that perspective was worth it.
I would personally stick with HFC's rather than decats as the difference will be negligible (Unless you plan on Turbo/Supercharging) and you can pass an MOT without having to swap them.
Cool dog btw, he looks like a bit of a bruiser!
I think everyone with a DE hopes for 300bhp on the dyno
I just wanted to spend a bit of money on the zed and get it uprev'd as the car is supposedly remapped but never been put on a dyno! I'm also quite annoyed I can't keep up with my mates '15 cupra r
I did look into HFC, however they're quite expensive and I can't convince myself to spend that much when I'm only 20 on a poor apprentice wage...
The frenchie is a girl! She's well built though and can take on the chocolate lab

If I did go down this route, getting an uprev would certainly be happening, along with a plenum spacer. I was just curious of what sort of gains people were getting from this particular mod and whether it was worth it as it seems quite popular!
I did find the dyno results thread on the forum earlier which was interesting
-
I have scoured the forum pages however I cannot find a thread relating to actual performance gains/benefits from fitting decats pipes to a 350z.
I'm considering going down this route, once again... although most of the pros and cons are stated everywhere etc I would quite like to hear of some other people's actual experiences and results from dyno days!
Picture for my amusement/attention

Sorry to be that guy... however I'm going to have to pull out of this meet
Some unforseen family arrangements have come up which I cannot avoid!

The real limitation on mine is the stepper motors are too small I ended up using the ones off the previous machine I built ' the problem is if I change them I also need to change the drivers and adapters I made which will probably cost me about £250 -300 per axis and a big chunk of time, so the best part of £1000 and to be honest it's not the money it's the time I've got other things I want to do.
It's still a cool bit of kit to have at home! will definitely keep an eye on how you're getting on

Been following this since the start! I'm guessing your mill is half cnc? I'm a cnc machinist myself and it's good to see someone doing some machining for their Z!

Hi mate, is this res or non res? Do you know if this would fit onto Scorpion mid-pipe?
It's the midpipe that defines whether it's a res or non res system as for fitment to a scorpion midpipe I'm unsure 100% but would have thought so?

How did you attach it? I've got a mines style lip waiting to go on and I just wondered what the best way to fit it is? I'm sure many of you have some top tips.
I said on my build thread
2 self tappers and silicone was all it needed as the fit was spot on!

Got it to upload. Just some of the pictures of the imperfections and fitment problems. Bear in mind that in the pictures it doesn't look half a bad as what it did in real life.
I know what you mean about cheeky. They paint a perfect picture of how their products are "amazing quality" and made with the "highest precision".
They seem like a fairly new company that is all over the web on Google and ebay when you look for carbon parts or body kits for quite a few different cars. I think a lot of people are going to be caught out.
The only thing is where to get a good mines style carbon fibre splitter without paying for more than what the cars worth
Anyway hope it helps.
I can now solve this thread as I received a carbon mines lip from Grams Styling yesterday and it fit like a glove!
I had low expectations after seeing this post above, I may have got lucky but I received an excellent product and service.
The order was placed at the start of December and was told that the first splitter that was manufactured had too many imperfections and they were not happy. Consequently they made another splitter ensuring this next one was up to standards. Although the product was received 2/3 weeks after order date, the product itself was great and I'd rather wait a bit longer for a better product
I hope everyone else's experience with grams styling is as good, as I have no negative experience from this purchase!

Well done.Be careful not to curb crunch it.Look forward to seeing it in a few weeks time.I have lots of events planned for 2017.Kicking off with a Grasshopper meet in Jan and then our annual club stand at Incarnation in Brighton.More to follow after.
Thanks Martin! Look forward to seeing your progress with your lovely Nismo
I hope you mean 2018 or you'll have to squeeze it in!
I missed incarnation last year so really hoping to make that!

So how did you fix it mate ?.
The fit was so good it basically clipped in place! I siliconed all around the underside of the splitter and then used a self tapper either side as you mentioned! Then just went over the top side profile with silicone just to fill any slight gaps, blend it and fix it further to the bumper!
Think that will be fine, very chuffed

Yes, my Z4M was appreciating and it was a big decision to lose that financial security if you like but I cannot afford to have both unfortunately. C'est la vie as they say
Certainly know what you mean! Enjoy the 370 it's a fantastic car!

She is lovely that's for sure. Enjoyed the Beemer, cracking engine but just didn't gel with the whole package in the end. Looking forward to a more enjoyable Datsun experience
Looks it! Engineering masterpiece that engine unsure if I would want to drive one everyday like I would the nissan and my zed is certainly more comfortable than the Z3M and even the coupe Z4M!
The only other thing is that the old M cars will almost certainly appreciate, especially the ZM cars and the lower mileage, manual, no sunroof E46 M3s
nearly crashed

Had this problem the day of picking my zed up
Rear brake line leaking fluid, seems failry common for lines to leak on the zed's
