That's if you ever see one on the road
Exactly! I've only ever seen 1 other on the road round my way, definitely rare cars

Ha ha true
Hopefully it's going to a good home
It's a fine example
I hope so too, sounds like a young chap like myself so hope the car treats him as it has done me!
Doubt I'll ever have a car that looks as good as this... Probably regret it at some point when I see another on the roads

Bit yours wins on looks
Bolt some boost to it and let them try and hang with you 😄
They're pushing 600bhp so would have to be a fair amount of boost!
Just taken a small deposit on the car too... 😢

Did you have full dealer service history or not?
Yeah all dealer 👍 shame these cars still have ancient steel panels not all aluminium 😆

Exactly the same issue with my 2014 V1... Was expecting the dealer to be a nightmare.
Turns out they were very helpful, dropped the car off and got a brand new micra to drive about in and within 3 days the car was done👍
I'm very particular about cars and I was expecting a cheap fix but they done a cracking job, how ever they did it!

987 Cayman S, gen 2 if you can stretch it. Gen 2s have a much improved engine over the earlier models although a lot of gen1s have had rebuilds and upgraded IMS bearings now. Bought mine April last year and sold in August and made about £4k even after putting 6k miles on the thing and a track day. All petrol heads need a porsche at one point I think.
If budget is a bit less I'd have a Z4M, arguably a more "lively" engine than the Porsche but less balanced and more tail happy and is more likely to keep you on your toes when pushing on. Proper M car with a short ratio 6 speed, quick steering rack, mechanical diff and a accelerator pedal feeling like it is glued to your foot. Can still pick a nice roadster up for £16k would be my choice especially with summer coming up.
If you want something a bit newer and with a turbo Z4 35i all day. Simple mods and a tune can have 420bhp and 600nm of torque in tap. A folding hard top, making the car feel more like a coupe and all the mod cons you need inside. Not quite as much of a drivers car due to the lack of the responsive NA engine and hydraulic steering but still a good fun and very fast car!

Cracking car in good hands, always a good read 👍 makes me feel bad for putting 6000 miles on mine since August and still using her as a daily lol

If I still have the Nismo I will definitely make it down always makes for a good day

Mega! The 370 is a big car with some big arches, can't wait to see how the 18s look!
Don't you dare sell the stock wheels either

Just prefer the driver experience, not keen on some of these newer cars drive you rather than vice versa, but can Defintely see the appeal
In fairness the 370z still feels very much like the 350 but just with some extra poke up in the top of the revs and more grip and handling capabilities. Still hydraulic steering so good amount of feedback through the wheel too👍

Just recently done an oil service myself as I don't like long service intervals. Also the car sits on H&R Springs now with spacers and adjustable rear arms and has been fully aligned with a fast road geo. Car looks absolutely cracking!
Also have a K&N typhoon intake fitted at the moment which sounds great up in the revs, all standard bits remain

Thanks, just the Cat back, thought about HFCs but didnt want to annoy the neighbours. and cars sounds good enough for me without them at the moment. may add them when i run out of things to spend my money on in the future though.
I had the same knob in my 350z, only problem is, is that it gets hot in the summer. changing gear is like when Harry touches that door knob in home alone lol
That's fair enough, give it some time you'll be buying and fitting them at some point
Haha literally pictured that as I read it that's a good point! Looks the part though

Looks like you're spoiling the car, looks great! Is the ark grip just a cat back or did you go with HFC's?
Nismo geaeknob looks the part too, I fancy one of them myself!

My V1 is lowered with 15mm spacers on the rear and I can't even get a finger between the tyre and arch so no chance in upping from 285 rears!
Oh the struggles of these tyres sizes and I don't want Bridgestone Potenzas🤣

Nismo been spoilt recently, full custom geo set up after the springs and spacers fitted. Need slightly smaller spacers in the rear as it rubs under compression
Picked up some K&N intakes off a forum member @Jinshim thank you! Got them fitted and wasn't expecting much of a difference but pleasantly surprised with the intake noise.
Also picked up the intake tubes if I fancy a chance as it seemed a no brainer as I was torn between the 2 choices!

Do I think its better then a 350z as its also a properly "Jap" car? Yes. Do I think there are newer, better cars available for the same price, 25K? Also yes. But its charm for me is that its a "New Car, based on an old car".
Couldn't put that any better. Even after having much faster and "better built" German cars, the Nismo still has much more character and can't help but to look at it.
Having a V1 I really was annoyed they didn't come with the Recaros, but the V1 seats are electric and subjectively are much comfier, whilst still being very supportive. That being said, I'd still love to fit a set of V2 Recaros though!!!

Got a little relaxed with the wallet over the past week... H&R Springs, 20mm spacers, adjustable camber arms and oil and filter all bought and now fitted! Only had a major service at Nissan in August but I always do an interim oil and filter for what it costs.
Dire need for an alignment, the rear is all over the place so it's just looking pretty on the drive now 😁

That v1 thats colour coded has been for sale for at least twelve months, i think all v1 nismo's in the states are all one colour. Are these cars number from the factory or when they were brought into a country
Wow and the price has been dropped a lot recently! I think you're right and think the cars in the states are numbered by the year too? I'm not sure how they worked out the numbering but supposedly if there's only 120 in the UK and mine is #210 they must be numbered over a larger area than just the UK?

yeah worth keeping just for the exclusivity. Ive never seen a Mk1 on the road. Mk2 are rare might see one every 6 months if lucky.
Once the spacers and springs go on think it would look cool. Ever thought of wrapping the grey bits pearl white or do you prefer the contrast?
Definitely right there, I never see any 370z's my way let alone any Nismo's!
I'm a sucker for OEM+, I think the contrast makes the car. There is a Mk1/V1 for sale on Autotrader, which is all colour matched, and to me it doesn't look right and seems to be struggling to sell.

Thanks chap! Not going to chase more power I don't think it's worth it!

I know gutting... Well I may or may not have just bought some springs and spacers 🤫
