  1. Forum issues, they're on it (same thing happens when you pres 'link' too). In the meantime, when you're looking at the 'My bucket' type view with all your pics as tiles, each one has three links underneath. You're only interested in the lower two, IMG and IMG thumb. If you want the picture to appear normal page size you click the IMG one and copy, then come into the fast reply box and paste (it will show as a llnk but when you submit the post, it will be shown as an image, not a link). If you want a small image that gets bigger when clicked (useful if you're posting a lot), then do the same thing with the lower link (IMG thumb). It's a good technique to learn as it's almost completely universal for all forums, regardless what other image posting services they provide, it's usually a safe bet this will work.

  2. I think I'll get a few silica gel packs and tape them up inside the old covers and fit them (I haven't even checked condition of the old covers tbh), maybe with a bead of silicone as well. I have also heard that the sealing around the indicator bulb socket and wiring can be the problem, but I don't have details.

  3. It's the ABS sensors. Nowt to do with tyres at all.

He said he's changed them, and when my car had these symptoms (from the previous owner, who also assumed it was an ABS sensor), it was because the tyres were the wrong size. I never changed any ABS sensors, but I did put stock tyres on stock wheels and the problem went away instantly. Now, if he'd said that this suddenly happened out of nowhere, of course it wouldn't be a logical suggestion, but since he's changed everything under the car, logical to assume tyres, too, no?

  4. Sargara, I believe the Depo supplied ones were used in mine. I'm having a very very minor condensation issue, is this the reason? I also fitted brand new ballasts with brand new o-rings.

Re: Blue wire, I think it is the actuator/servo signal for auto levelling function for when you have a heavy load in the boot, but I could be wrong.

  5. I could still see myself driving a Z4M as I have driven my dad's a few times and it's a bit more "performance focused" than my Z...

Dude, please! The 350Z is a purpose built NA Japanese GT drift machine with a certain intangible exoticness about it, plus it's the best sounding 6cyl ever made probably, the Z4M is a fashion accessory. Put the cost difference (about 10 grand, no?) into forced induction for the Z, then tellme which is the more exciting car. ;)

Someone's gotta tell it like it is! Speed is just a number kids.

By the way, that's not bias you're hearing there, the Z might be my 40th car in my life (lost count), my fave brand is Honda and my last car was an AWD e92 335 with 400hp. ;)

  6. He's a brave man for cutting up the loom just on my say-so! I think THAT might be the biggest compliment I've got outta this. :)

It's one of those things you just don't know unless you've done it, peculiarity specific to these Depo lights.

I keep hearing they'll be discontinued soon, if not already, shame cos they are the most beautiful lights on our cars, and for Taiwan stuff are decent quality.

  7. If you want to trade crypto, the one to get onto is btc-e.com

    Follow prices with bitcoinwisdom.com

I too would be a millionaire now if I'd held every piece of crypto that ever came my way (I was into litecoin and dogecoin as well, had large holdings of both). I didn't keep the faith despite encouraging others to do so, more fool me.

  8. Come on then, Rich, spill the bloody beans, how 'exactly' did it happen (mechanical or pilot), was your mate alright, did the car survive? No insensitivity intended to the victims, it's a learning (and curiosity, naturally) thing. :D We see lots of these kinds of videos, but rarely have the opportunity to interrogate witnesses. :)

Wasnt my mate I had never met the chap , he was basically trying to race me , I was pottering up to Silverstone at a very gentle pace as it was around 6 degrees and wet and my car was spinning up on gentle gearshifts , I didnt go over about 60mph but he passed me well into 3 figures and then slowed down before passing me again , he floored it off the roundabout and you can see the results

His car is heavily damaged and probably a write off but he hopes to rebuild it , he is a nice lad and we have all made mistakes . I split the money with him for the video so he could take his missus out for a meal as she was in the car at the time

Nice, cheers for sharing. I'd say the driving lesson he got that day was worth more than the damage to his car. ;)

  9. All done, delivery and customs, and bearing in mind I had to go through 2 hours of dealing with assholes at the airport to get it out of customs (and bringing it home myself from there, after paying 130 bucks delivery or something was a pain in my arse, but I think that's a greek thing, I would expect your customs to be more orgamised and more cooperative, as well as cheaper). I digress...about 420 euro is the answer.

It sounds exactly like the K4 videos you can see, but I will get a clip up soon. It's particularly fruity at the 4k rpm sweet spot where our engine sounds like a big dog gargling while howling. lol. It's a bit flat up top, turns into more of a roar, but at low rpm it's quiet as a mouse.

  10. @*!#! Sorry I didn't see this before bro. this is well documented everywhere by people who have done this swap.

Just snip the blue wire. Done. You do need the right bulbs of course, I made that mistake too, but to stop the indicators being on all the time, it's just that blue wire, nothing else.

  11. Do you want bug reports in here at all, Lexx? Sorry if not wanted, here I go anyway...I expect it's related to the other links problem you're having, but just in case...

    Browser: Chrome

    Resolution: 2K

When using the fast reply box and selecting text, then pressing the link button, the screen greys for the popup, but the popup never appears. I was then unable to cancel the action, requiring me to hit back and lose the post. It was only a short one. ;) The same behaviour is evident in the full editor.

    Thanks!

  12. A Nikon D5200 is easily attainable with a fantastic pair of VR (vibration reduction) lenses bundled in, which will make you a photography GOD on their own, and can grow with you until your skills require something better (unlikely, with the best of intent, unless you take up photography as a serious hobby :)). It's the DSLR I can easily recommend to anyone that wants a 'good camera' without investing in something they may not use to its potential. In automatic mode with the VR lens, you'll be very, very happy, and if you want to go further with it you can. :) I consider myself a decent amateur and I haven't outgrown mine yet. :)
