Has anyone on here used them on their Zed? Just wondering what the quality/fit was like. It looks like it from looking at the photo, but will these still work with the standard seatbelt ok?

Thruxton on a Motorsport Events trackday is a 90db static limit!

Parked up ready to go out, there should be plenty of action shots hopefully as they had a photographer there for the day

Well that was a lot of fun! Zed's definitely make good track cars, in my opinion at least, definitely going to have some fun in this car!

Car behaved itself perfectly in the morning, but then went into limp mode after I'd done 3 or 4 laps. Come into the pits to let it all cool down, then good for another 3 or 4 laps! Drove home fine, put my code reader on it, and turns out there is a crank position sensor on it's way out. Was annoying, but certainly didn't spoil the day.

Very impressed with it, love how flat it corners and how great the brakes are considering it's quite a hefty old thing

Have you been on Combe before?

 

Not a lot of run off with grass on all the corners so best take it easy till you get the feel for the Zed as it's your first outing on track in it.

Just noticed you are in south Wales, did you ever take your zed round Llandow?

This year ive been on Silverstone national and Rockingham infield, ive heard Combe is QUICK!! couple of 5th gear straights and not very wide either.

Well, funny you should say that, I put 28 in my spare track tyres earlier as a kind of educated guess to start from so I'm glad you said that!

Combe is definitely quick, and like you said quite narrow in places. Good thing is it's less than an hour from my house too!

Yes driven Combe quite a few times, was very daunting at first I must admit, but love it now! I will definitely be taking it easy to start with and learn the car, it's going to quite a different beast compared to my old car. But very much looking forward to it!

Got my first trackday in my zed tomorrow at Castle Combe

Did loads in my old BMW so looking forward to seeing how they compare. It's pretty much standard, all I've done since I bought it is a full service, new ds2500's all round, braided hoses and ATE high boiling point fluid, with a spare set of wheels/tyres to take, should keep it going well all day hopefully!

Only used it so far to check an EML warning, worked great and connected quickly, will have another play around with it at some point and see what else works

M+S posh dogs are pretty good, especially the chilli and cheese ones!

I'm after the steel brake pipe that goes from the caliper to the flexi hose. Drivers side (o/s)

To fit my 2005 DE engined zed with Brembos.

Phoned my local Nissan dealer today and they are £55+ vat so thought I'd check here first before ordering one!

I was a little worried when I first got mine, but they all seem to be a little rattly/noisy from the transmission from what I've read on here.

This was the car I had before my zed. Modified 3.5 straight 6 kicking out 250lb ft torque and weighing around 1100 kilos , was lots of fun Bit too track focused though so I only ever used it for trackdays even though it was fully road legal. The rot had got a hold of it so had a look at other cars, and a zed came out top of the list!

Where are you thinking for the venue?

I went on compare the market to insure my zed, got loads of quotes under £400, Hastings was the cheapest for me too, just bought it online, job done! No need to phone unless you want to try and knock them down a bit I guess?!

I've just bought 2 bottles of this too and noticed what it says about not for LSD's as well. This is definitely ok to use in a standard LSD then? Was just going to email the seller and thought I'd check on here first, glad I did now!

Thanks for the pics, looks really good! Yes I'm sure the one I'm looking at doesn't come with the nav as standard, but I'm not really too worried as I usually just use Google maps on my phone if I'm going any where I'm not sure of. I'm not going to be doing loads of long journeys so should be fine

Ah nice, thanks for the reply. That split screen feature sounds great! Yes I've seen one for sale that looks almost identical apart from the DAB, but thought it's worth getting one with it if I'm buying a new head unit.
