  1. Hi all,

I'm after the steel brake pipe that goes from the caliper to the flexi hose. Drivers side (o/s)

To fit my 2005 DE engined zed with Brembos.

Phoned my local Nissan dealer today and they are £55+ vat so thought I'd check here first before ordering one!

    Cheers, Jer

  2. This was the car I had before my zed. Modified 3.5 straight 6 kicking out 250lb ft torque and weighing around 1100 kilos , was lots of fun :) Bit too track focused though so I only ever used it for trackdays even though it was fully road legal. The rot had got a hold of it so had a look at other cars, and a zed came out top of the list!

  3. I went on compare the market to insure my zed, got loads of quotes under £400, Hastings was the cheapest for me too, just bought it online, job done! No need to phone unless you want to try and knock them down a bit I guess?!

  4. Wow loads of replies! :) I've got a set of the 18" non-Rays wheels on their way, it's a 2nd set of wheels so wont need them to be road legal. Was going to go for 225/40-18, and 245/40-18 for now, would that be ok to keep the T/C happy? I'm not too worried about going bigger diameter or wider tyres yet, my last car was running 205/50-15's RWD with 250lb/ft torque so I'm used to balancing a car on the throttle! :D

  5. I've just got the insurance sorted for my new 350, the company I was with wanted £2800 ish to insure me (34 y/o, 12yrs NCB) bearing in mind they were charging me £270 a year for my previous car which was a heavily modified BMW e30 track car which was quicker than my 350! Apparently as they are modified specialists they didn't like the fact my new car is completely standard. Ended up paying £360 a year in the end with someone else which I was pleased with :)

  6. Hi all,

Hope this hasn't been covered before, I did look but I'm still getting used to the forum so might not have looked in all sub-forums!

Basically I want to get a second set of wheels to fit some trackday tyres, 888's if possible, ran these on my BMW I had before and loved them. Question is do I go for a set of the standard 350z 17" or 18" wheels to get the best tyre size?

I thought I had it sorted until I read on here that if the difference in rolling radius from standard is changed then the traction control plays up, would this matter if the traction control was turned off while the different sized tyres were fitted?

    Any advice appreciated, thanks :)
