[SOLD]FREE - OEM Passenger-side LH Sun Visor
DeeJayDready replied to DeeJayDready's topic in 350z Parts For Sale
The price stated does not include postage, no. I would have to get a postage estimate if a buyer is found, but I would not expect it to be too expensive. Alternatively, 'collection' is available. However it is worth noting that I am based in Belfast, N.Ireland. -
I have a spare horizontal tonneau cover / boot lid cover / privacy divider / interior trim shield (not sure of the correct item name...) This is the interior trim cover that fits up inside the boot lid to hide the contents of the boot from outside the vehicle. The item is missing one of the two fixings. But these should be easily sourced if required. Selling for £8.

I have two spare passenger-side / left hand Sun Visors available (P/N: 96401-EV00A) As you can see from the picture, the mirror on one has a crack in the glass. Will sell one for £7. Both for £10.

My 2007 350Z GT came with one of these Bluetooth Adapters fitted in the phone socket inside the central cubby (behind the handbrake). While I am able to pair my iPhone 7 to it ok (named 'Nissan 350Z'), when I make a phone call, I can't hear the other person and they can't hear me. The two phone buttons on the steering wheel appear to have no effect either. For info, the car has a Sony WX-GT90BT stereo fitted. It also came with the OEM Bose stereo in a spares box. So I suppose my first questions are: Where is the Microphone for this device located in the vehicle? When working correctly, is the sound meant to come out of the Bose speakers (for the stereo) in the doors, behind the seats etc?

It wouldn't be worth replacing it with the sat nav one would it? -
Repairing or replacing a marked dashboard cubby door?
DeeJayDready replied to DeeJayDready's topic in 350Z General
So... Having gone out, in the dark of night (first ridiculous mistake..), and removed the screws on the back of the lid door I was faced with this: The back of the door comes off ok and the little handle is easily removed. The fascia of the door however is not removable... I did also remove that silver centre screw, but annoyingly there are other fixings further back inside that appear to be glued, so it looks like a no-go. But still, time to shop for some matt black spray paint for the handle and see how that goes anyway, right? But wait, just for now lets reassemble that door first shall we. Ok, handle in place, back on, and yep that appears to be all those fiddly little screws screwed back up into the rear of the door. Now just to close the door and check the handle still catches correctly... ****..! So yeah, it seems that in the process of putting the screws back in I have put another nice big scratch line across it, were it obviously it rubbed up against the top of the door opening. How this useless material ever got through Nissan factory tests I will never know. But the bottom line is that I think that this has definitely now pushed me to do the door as well as the handle. I am not at all convinced that I can repair the door and have it end up looking stock. Though I haven't 100% ruled it out. I did find this guide which seems to have been pretty successful: http://my350z.com/forum/body-interior-exterior-and-lighting-diy/524912-diy-06-remove-and-paint-center-console-cubby-guages.html My other option is obviously to replace the whole cubby or "Instrument Panel Cluster Lid" (68250-CF45A) either with a clean one from a breakers yard or failing that, a brand new one from Charles Hurst Nissan, but that will cost £105.56 + VAT (£126.82 in total). I may do a hunt round breakers yards in the first instance and see if there's anything worth looking at there... -

Fingers crossed. Oh, I meant to say that when I was over speaking to Nissan about getting a spare key done, the guy in the front office recommended A27 Engineering as being very good (Charles Hurst Nissan's go-to people over there couldn't do them because they didn't do the diamond cutting). So between A27 Engineering, Nuluk & Canavans hopefully I'll be able to get something sorted come springtime. I'll update for the benefit of others on here in a few months with what was quoted & done. -

I shouldn't need to do that. They're only minor marks. -

Do you mean the display for the rear parking sensors? Must be. Does it have a few LEDs that you can see in the rear view? Yeah. -

There's a pic at the top of the thread. It's only surface corrosion. I'll report back on the quotes when I get them... -

From where the boot divider sits, the bottom brackets go (through the carpet) towards the front of the car. The top brackets go backwards towards the back of the car, up on to the strut brace. I would recommend these two threads: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/17822-fitting-genuine-tonneau-cover/ http://www.350z-uk.com/index.php?showtopic=36669 More than happy to try and help further if these don't sort you out. -

Handle or door fascia? -
Due to slightly ridiculous circumstances I have ended up owning two OEM Tonneau Covers, so I've decided to sell one as sadly I only have one 350Z... :-) These are seemingly very rare and from what I gather quite sort after. I believe that they were an extra costing about £150 from Nissan before they were discontinued. The item comes complete with a full mounting kit and fitting instructions. Selling for £75 + P&P (which I assume would be about £10). Fitted:

KyleR - I'll certainly try Nuluk for a quote at least. The only people I've spoken to so far has been 'Alloy Wheels Repair NI' who do do diamond cutting, but say that they wouldn't do it on ones as badly corroded as mine (I didn't think they were that bad!), as they would just start to corrode again within 8 months... Have you found this to be an issue Shezza? Unfortunately they just want to powder coat the lot, which is not what I'm after as I want them to look like they're meant to. Canavans Autocentre put a full stainless Cobra exhaust on my old '91 VW Scirocco GTII many years ago. The quality of their work is good and they have a great rep. Maybe I'll get a quote from them also...
