How does it drive now as remaps, especially na ones, are more than numbers, even though they are good ones!
Generaly more responsive as you would expect. Smooth delivery, no lumpyness.

back from darn sarf. Craig did the remap, added 10bhp and 20 touques across the whole rev range. I'll upload vids and stuff later.

Cheers Umster, I'm weighing up wether to go North or South.

Thanks Coldel, I will contact TDI North and see how much it costs. Thanks for the info etc.

Yes I see your point about the air/fuel mix.I may consider the journey. Well at least your not a Brummie LOL.

Hi Rippon, I've contacted 4 local remappers and no one wants to touch the 350z. One said they had had big problems after remapping one. SO I've pretty much given up on the idea. I don't want a 140 mile round trip to get it done. Not bothered about how high it will rev, just lower rev torque. Were you bought up in Wolves or moved there? I'm from Fordouses and went to Northicote which I left in 1982, so yeh I'm an old fart now.

Surprised you can physically notice, I didnt when I put mine on, it was only when it was combined with sports cats/exhaust and given an uprev I got an extra peak 15bhp (which of course doesn't mean an extra 15bhp across the range).
I wasn't expecting much. The main thing is the smoothness and revs more freely.
-
Not heard anything about that. I'm more interested in low rev torque anyway so shouldn't bother me.

Just saying if anyone has a DE and not had a planum spacer fitted they should definetly get one fitted. My 04 Z is totally standard 278bhp, and the diference is very noticable, much smoother. Guessing the two front pistons are no longer fighting the other four? Just revs up smoothly too. Had the Copper one off Torquen, cost a bit but now seems worth it. next to get a remap in the Walsall or Wolves area. Anyone had one done round here?

I believ they are also there to strengthen the front spoiler/bumper too. So definetly should fit it. Will send you picks once I've got it back.

HI, I forgot about it, but can pick it up on my way shopping tomorrow. I'll take some photos and PM you them. No undertray at all??!!?? Lucky you didn't get water in you alternater or such like.

Hi Napp. I may have a used one but might not be any good too anyone. Story is mine kept coming adrift and getting caught on speed bumps. Eventually got that pi**ed off I bought the Torquen one off a bloke on here. The old one I noticed was still on the ground outside my machanics garage. I'm picking up my car later on today after a plenum spacer fitting. I can stuff it in the boot if its still there. You are welcome to it though like I say it may be a bit torn on the fastening/boly holes. I would post it too you if you paid postage. I can take photos of it and any damage, you can decide if its worth the postage costs.
P.S mine is a 04 DE Coupe

Just a plenum spacer and a
Motordyne Engineering 5/16" Copper Iso Thermal Plenum Spacer
and a new air filter. Craig said the back exhaust box is not standard. Everything else standard as far a I know.
