Happy for you @EcoFriendlyAL! Car looks a treat and you've managed to find a few Z forum members who know a thing or two about your BMW.

Hope it a gorgeous summer for you and you get to enjoy your new toy! Photos look very nice.

Get the M3 lower control arms and some camber onto it ASAP, sack off the runflats as well if its still on them - it will be like a different car. Theres a clutch delay valve and a spring that you can lose for no cost, if you want to go further they really benefit from decent suspension as well as an LSD.

Interesting thread on babybmw.net on Litchfield vs MHD management, my E82 is on the latter and Im quite loving it TBH :)

OK Doc, the M3 Control arms sound like a good option, though it does handle beautifuly anyway. Much more confident round the corners than the Zed. I don't know all those E numbers, had to google it. What E is the M140i? The Sport plus is pops and bangs so I might get that taken off. Not that I'de use sport plus if it disables the traction control???

Very nice indeed! My brother has an M135i and it is a weapon. It has a stage 1 map with intercooler and exhaust and drop in filters. I think its tunning about 380-400Bhp its bloody quick.

Yes Andy very quick and really smooth power delivery. Only got it in Comfort mode at the moment while I get used to it.

Nice move. Only mod you'll need is a differential and if you're fussy, a upgrade to the infotainment unit.

Looking forward to a few photos of the M140i! It's a beautiful car for the price.

AS requested pics of the new ride which I am over the moon about. Smooth ride, comfortable and practical and I think good looking.

MY 350Z was sold for £4K in the end to a guy who exports them to France. I like to think it's going on a little holiday. He's now doing a few improvments to the paintwork. he knows Zeds well and informed me that the spring for the reverse gear was missing 😮 which I never new. Must have been left out when the dealer had the synchro done when I bought it.

The new ride , Cat N, stolen recovered, £17K. 18" alloys with brand new MPS4 tyres on rears,Litchfield stage 2 custom map done on rolling road  running 448bhp, Custom Cat back exhaust system, MST Intake, Lowered 25mm front and back, Front 12mm spacers and rear 15mm, Black kidney grills. Reiger rear diffuser, Tinted windows 70% rear 30% front, Tinted rear lights, M3 mirrors. Remap done before new intake fitted. Had a brand new gearbox due to synchro mesh failing which was done by BMW. 21K miles only.

  5. Had the Z for about 3 1/2 years. Am moving on to an M410i as I have the cash and needing something more practicle. Proce reduced and including a dash cam.

61200, 10/02/20 Motordyne copper 5/16" Plenum spacer. Revup remap by Horsham Development.

57500, 10/01/19 Front pads, W braces replaced with ones from Torquen.

23/09/19four new Bridgestone A005 All Weather

    2019 Aluminium Torquen front undertray.

55,600, 30/04/18 OIl, Filter and Auxillery belt.

53125, 15/06/17 Oil, Filter and spark plugs.

New driver side window motor  fitted

New fans fitted when I first bought it.

had the gear box sorted out by the garage that sold it to me.

Full service history before that, see photo.

    Two keys.

Bad bits, see photos. Ariel rusted off, scuffs on arches and rust on two arches. very small bubble of rust on roof. The button for the petrol flat has come adrift, but still works with a bit of work. FRony wheels need a refurb. Priced to reflect this. No massive rush to sell. This is a none GT verssion, so material seats, no sat nav or cruise control.

A friend just bought one, it's a great car and it's his first fast car and I have to keep reminding him to ease into it, and he just keeps telling me about how he hit 145

OMG, well I hope the owner of the private road/track is ok with that speed ;-) Lucky bloke, my first was a 1lt Fiesta that had been paint strippered by a crack head. But it was still wonderful!

One is dedicated sports car, one is a tarred up 1 series. My brother has a 240 and it’s brilliant, but the Porkers are another step up altogether. It’s not about the figures, it’s about the whole package.

Thanks Ekona, good point. I am wanting something a bit easier to get in and out of as well, this is for a disabled mate and an elderly Mom. Maybe one day I'll get a Porsche but for now I think the M140i will be fun yet practicle.

  8. Hi all. I've had the Z for 4 years and its time to move on. I was for many months thinking of a Porsche, probably a Cayman S or wait another year and get a Carrera 4S. But a friend has an M140i and loves it and when I looked at the spec, miles, age and price I was amazed at what I could get for my money compared to a Porsche. So looks like the Z will be up for sale soon. She has wanted for nothing mechanicaly but cosmeticaly is a bit sad, kerbed wheels, a couple of rust spot on arches and scuffs on the arches as its parked on the road. Petrol release button has come adrift but still works with a bit of work. Only done 63K miles which I think is a good selling point. Probably be £6K ono.

You could just remove them as well, they aren't structural, just make sure the bolts on the W brace are secured tightly afterwards.

Cheers, my mechanic is having a look tomorrow. I'll ask him to have a general look around while he's under there.

  10. Thanks tauvp and attackZ. I have had the W braces replaced by the ones off Torquen. I'll be in touch with my mechanic tomorrow. If he's not working I'll get my usual tyre fitter to put it up on ramp to have a look. Cheers for quick response.

  11. Noticed something hanging from underneath my 03 DE 350Z the other day. maybe a foot in on the right hand side, half way back. You can just see the rear tyre in the photo. Speed bumps no doubt even though I'm very causious about them. Looks pretty torn up too?

    Headlights look good.

I used the meguires kit on mine. It came with a UV protectant spray which you put on after sanding with the pads provided.

6 months or so later there still just as clear. Might be worth a shot instead of taking to a garage

I was hoping someone could visit my home who knows how to do it. Not usual mechanic work really. Yes a spray might be a good option. I'll look into it, thanks

  13. Got a 3M restoration kit off Ebay for £20, only used a fraction of the pads and paste. Didn't go at it too hard as worried I'de do some damge. So I'm 99% hapy with result and tried to apply the clear UV film. Total mess, blower went mental, melted film and went kaput. But it was an old blower been in cupboard for 10 plus years. Looking for someone close to walsall who can do it for me?

  14. BAFX , Bluetooth and Android, works with Torque software on my 350Z DE 03 UK. Has loads of functions, was about £15 I think. Works off OBD2 power so no battery required

  15. That sound ideal. I have a shared communal garden so not ideal esp with nosey neigbours sticking their beaks in. I've put a deposit down in a 410F witha Hawke AirMax 3-12x50 and 2 x magazines. Has only the standard barrel end thingy (is it even a silencer?) so will be getting a Wheirauch or the Air Arms Q-tec in a .22.  Of course shop is closed for a good few weeks. Will pick it up once Uncle Boris says its OK to do so. There are a few places I can plink and you never know who you get chatting to when you go to these places so maybe get some game shooting at some point.

  16. Thinking of getting a non FAC .22 myself. Only ever had a break barrel due to not having any cash. Now I have cash but the eternal problem of no where to shoot. There is a plinking place not far but shut for the duration. Either the S410 or Theoben would be good. Would really like a farm with a rat problem to sort, but same old. No farmer wants a stranger on his property so not much point knocking on farm doors.
