That seems a little low - how much of your driving is around town? I'm getting ~27 for my commute, which is 30 miles of mixed dual carriage way and crawling around Hitchin & Luton. I do go up through the gears fairly quickly I suppose. Hadn't even thought of speed bumps being an issue until I read your post! Been hoofing it a 20mph over the ones near me! Might put a stop to that, especially as I've got my eye on a Nismo body kit Glad you're having fun with the Zed

Hi gents, looking forward to the meet in a few days! Should be moving in next week. Quick question: I'm driving to MK and then getting a lift elsewhere - where's best to park the car? Free is preferable but not essential. Don't like the idea of leaving it on some side road, not my new baby!

Thanks @Ekona - by paying extra, do you mean they'll charge above the odds for parts and labour than somewhere like Japex? I'd need to figure out whether the time and effort of taking the car an hour down the road would be worth it. Cheers.

I've just spotted I'll be living very close to this garage (<1 mile). The reviews online are rather mixed to say the least. Ha ha! I don't think that is the one as yours has smart wheels that look good with the red. The one I was on about originally (I think!) was in Mansfield just north of Nottingham and I am sure it had "plain" silver alloys. I had only wanted to go see it on the way up to my parents' house for Christmas break - at that point I was not yet ready to buy anyway. Is that the one? Cheers Yeah it's the very same! The guys in Mansfield did up the alloys at my request for zero cost, which was a surprise! Booked in an advanced driving lesson, as I'm 95% stupid grin and 5% panic when the tail kicks out (first rear wheel drive). How's the search going?

Ah good to have someone nearby! I'm below par when it comes to my automechanical knowledge, trying to improve it and do some work on the Z once I'm 100% sure I know what I'm doing. Do you do much work on your own? (I'm guessing your're currently driving the Jag). The link sends me to a list of about a dozen Zs on Pistonheads, may be a cookies issue or something (I'm a network engineer by trade), which do you have an eye on?
