  1. thanks Davey My mechanic was bleeding and rebleeding all afternoon yesterday. He rang this morning to say he'd found a small leak on the master cylinder and after minor adjustment of the pedal its all good. The clutch biting point is very low though. Having read about these extreme clutches it seems to be a pretty common thing with them.
  2. As I mentioned in my last post I have had fitted a new extreme clutch kit with single mass fly wheel slave cylinder and braided pipe. Its all ok except it drags, predominantly in first gear as if its not quite disengaging properly. Is this just an adjustment or do I have a problem with the plate? I have read that I need to adjust the pedal if I fit heavier poundage clutch, could this be the solution? Any help is appreciated Martin
  3. Research suggests I need to adjust the pedal to increase the travel a bit when installing a heavy duty clutch, could this be the problem?
  4. HI all So I went ahead and recruited Declan to fit a lovely new Clarkes motorsport clutch and single mass fly wheel for me. New slave cylinder and braided pipe was also enrolled. Its fitted and bled but is dragging. Its almost as if the clutch is not quite releasing especially noticeable in 1st, Declan has confirmed that the fork is travelling to its extent but its still dragging a touch. Any ideas from you guys would be appreciated. Martin
  5. Awesome info. Thanks all. I will give the recommended fellows a ring.
  6. Hi chaps Having read through much of the clutch based threads I have resigned myself to needing a new clutch. I wouldn't mind putting something in a bit more substantial as I'm doing it. Do we have any contacts in the Wiltshire area who will fit it for me for a sensible price? Thanks in advance. Martin
  7. Wow, what a warm welcome. Thanks. I have had it a month and it was driving just fine then. Now, when I put my foot down the revs climb well but it doesn't pull away properly. The revs then drop out as it matches speed. Occasionally and weirdly I can sometimes smell faintly a clutch whiff. What do you pros think? Thanks.
  8. Evening chaps. Just a quick hi to introduce myself. Bought a nice low mileage 2005 350 in silver and I'm chuffed to bits with it. But, i think it needs a new clutch. Any advice is appreciated. Martin
