  1. Got the latest version for mine from navigationmaps.co.uk and afterwards drove 3000 miles across Europe and it never steered me wrong once, well worth the £25.00 in my opinion

Can't find their website?....what year is your zed?

Facebook search Navigationmaps.co.uk and it should appear, I have a 57 plate HR but I noticed they also sold the update disc for the DE as there was two options for both cars.

    Hope this helps.

  2. I went back to stock from a resonated Cobra because the drone was horrendous at motorway speeds and climbing hills, noticed an increase in mid-range power when I went back to stock aswell, probably due to the correct back pressure ! Quite noticeable.

I loved the Cobra for few times I nail the car but otherwise it was horrible to live with daily.

  3. I have a bottle of Gummi Pflege.........it was good. I bough it mainly to revive/restore my rubber door seals but wasn't aware it could help with frozen door =)

Where are you (Dave6188) based in Yorkshire? I'm happy to apply some to your door seals if you can come to me in Huddersfield??

Thanks for the offer but I'm in Hull so a bit of a trek, I am going to buy some anyway it's only £7.99 on Ebay

  4. As per title, has anyone had success connecting their phone via an app to an OBD adapter and if so which adapter is best to use ?

I'm on Android so obviously would prefer something that would work best with Android. No particular reason for wanting to do this just think it's quite cool to see & monitor your car's readings and I guess spot any anomalies !

  5. Surely must be a local garage with enough knowledge to do the job if you buy all of the parts needed. I got mine done at JapTech in Hull which is roughly 2 1/2hrs from you. They had never heard of the issue before, they have an extremely good reputation and after the work was carried out supplied me with dozens of photos and said it was fairly straightforward.

I tried to get mine done on warranty but the company had a loop hole so I had to shell out for it :(

  6. C63 Amg weighs 1685kgs so nowhere near 2 ton, almost the same as a Z weight wise, 4ltr V8 Bi-Turbo with 475bhp 510flb of torque in standard trim and an extremely clever rear diff and multi link axle to get the power down, rear tyres are huge, brakes have phenomenal stopping power, both cars with equally good drivers the C63 would win hands down unless it was round a go-kart track !

  7. Your either a very good driver or the Merc & Jag drivers are shite. I used to own a MK3.5 MX5, had it set up at Roddisons (4 wheel laser alignment) and kept up with a turbo MK2.5 MX5 around Blyton Park, granted it was 189bhp but not a huge difference from yours spec wise.

MX5 does handle well but not in the same league as a C63 AMG Merc.

  8. I'm after front & rear sway bar bushes, is it worth getting uprated bushes and will it make a difference to the handling ?

Would be nice to have less body roll but the car is used daily so don't want my spine shattering !

What size should I get ? for standard HR sways if that makes a difference ?

  9. I had the oil gallery gaskets blow on my HR but gauge still had 12psi showing at hot idle, I took it to a local garage who had never heard of the issue, took them 10hrs in total from start to finish in labour and I purchased all of the gaskets, coolant etc myself. Engine did not come out as it's not needed but radiator, front bumper etc had to come off for access.

All in all for parts & labour it cost me about £780 that was 10hrs labour, oil & filter, coolant and gaskets I thought this was reasonable tbh.

  10. Ebay is probably your best bet, quite a few brand new mid-pipes, y-pipes and even a few used backboxes. You ideally need to find out where it's blowing from as it could be a very simple fix, very common for the flange from backbox to mid-pipe to corrode & blow. Hope this helps.

  11. I have never had issues but wanted to give the throttle bodies and plenum a good clean. Always slightly dubious about the re-learning process though. Let us know how you get on and if you have to do the re-learn. Anyone know if the plenum splits in half on the HR to clean inside ?

  12. Mine is exactly the same after having the gallery gaskets changed, fully hot idle after a long run out around 30psi and revs to pressures similar to yours. Nothing to worry about I would imagine. My Mazda used to reach similar pressures under load so I presume it's normal.

  13. Bought the Xtreme HR kit from Clark Motorsport after the CSC pooped itself in my car, made a lot of difference in terms of drivability as the clutch is more predictable, also revs up a lot quicker due to the lighter flywheel.

Slight downside is chatter @1500rpm and a slightly heavier pedal but pros outweigh the cons by far.

    Hope this helps.
