  1. What kind of mileage are you looking at before plugs need changing ? I have an HR with original plugs at 54k. Read in manual they don't get changed until 100k !

They should be changed at 5 years or 54k

So next question is Denso or NGK or is there a blind bit of difference between the two apart from price ?

  2. Ok just had a look at a Cobra catback on Google and noticed on the backbox it has clamps holding the pipes and tips on !!! Can you see these when it's fitted to the car and do the newer Cobra systems come completely welded instead of clamped ? Clamps look dreadful

  3. Only crap thing from DE to HR is the slave cylinder placement inside the bell housing apart from that everything else is a bonus on the HR, better engine although most DE owners will disagree, looks a bit better and interior is much nicer, but this is only my opinion though and I'm an HR owner but that's why I bought an HR in the first place.

  4. I will be sticking with standard Cats, car is used as my daily drive so don't want a stupidly loud exhaust just something that sounds nice when you nail it, tempted by the Cobra resonated to be honest but have been told on 2 separate occasions it drones/booms on the motorway which is what I don't want ! Wanted to find out if non resonated system still drones/booms.

  5. Buying an exhaust shortly and wanted to know if a non resonated system is ridiculously loud ? I would like a little more sound than standard and do NOT want it to drone, any help appreciated. Was thinking of Injen or Cobra as I like the style of tips they use.

  6. Took the car on a proper run out today, mixed conditions from backroads to motorway to traffic and the clutch now has a consistent biting point even when fully upto temperature, can't ask anymore from a product, exactly what I was after. Fluid should wear a lot better aswell as it's kept a lot cooler. Definitely worthwhile.

  7. Got hold of a braided/insulated hose from Clark Motorsport all in cost £31.00 delivered and some more Motul RBF600, fitted the new hose on my driveway in the pouring rain with my dad sat in the car pumping the clutch pedal whilst I used a Vacuum Bleed to get any air out.

Drove the car with no noticeable difference whatsoever, not took it for a long run yet to get it properly upto temperature where hopefully fitted the new hose should pay dividends, well here's hoping anyway !

  8. So I bled my clutch out 3 months ago as it felt a bit spongey, I used Motul RBF600 fluid, it felt better afterwards. Check all of my fluids regularly and noticed clutch fluid looks like crap again ! Gone dark in colour.

Question is will a braided insulated clutch hose help cure this or make the clutch feel any better ? I noticed the line runs close to the exhaust so must get a lot of heat soak. Anyone done this and noticed a difference at all ?

HR Z if it makes a difference.

  9. I personally wouldnt use molyslip as the synchro's use friction to work properly if you add the moly slip this can undermine the works of the synchro. I recently changed the oil using Redline MT85 and after 50-60 miles the box felt as smooth as silk and got rid of a slightly Knotchey 1st gear.

Car has done 53k so not huge mileage but still a good idea to change it. Modern transmissions don't need molyslip and a good quality oil should suffice.

    Hope this helps

  10. Used Tesco for a few months then BP for a few months, not bothered that BP is only 97ron I know it's not going to kill my car as it's good quality fuel. Only thing I have never been keen on is buying fuel from supermarkets like Tesco even though Momentum is claimed to be 99ron the general quality of a supermarket fuel is pretty poor !

  11. I don't have the luxury of having a Shell garage anywhere near where I live to run my car on Optimax, so my two choices are BP Ultimate at 97ron or Tesco Momentum at 99ron. I have ran my car on both and seen absolutely no difference in MPG or felt any difference driving but still would like some opinions on what fuel I should be using ? What's everyone else using ?

  12. Probably wouldn't go as far as that tbh, just had 4 wheel laser alignment back to Nissan settings but slightly tweaked afterwards for a bit more grip and may possibly buy some K&N panel filters for slightly better air flow.
