  1. Tarmac Sportz Roof Spoiler in Gloss black

I bought from another user about a month ago but never got around to fitting it and changing what im going to do with the car so no longer looking to fit it. I spent a tiny bit of time scrapping all the old tigerseal off the spoiler so should be a relatively quick install for you. I'll also give you whats left of the tube of tigerseal that the last owner kindly gave me. It has a slight cut out on the underside for the rear window washer so no need to remove rear washer.

    £75 collected from Leighton Buzzard.

I replaced my gas struts with new ones so i have the old ones kicking about.

FREE for collection from Leighton Buzzard or i could charge you £5 plus postage for going through the hassle of finding a tube to post them in. The boot never fell on my head but i didn't fancy the risk. From a 2008 car so obviously quite old but if you have a broken pair this may help you out for a while for free.

  2. It is indeed a 12mm bolt. When i fitted my struts I removed the OEM one, but they are held in very tightly with copious amounts of threadlock. Personally, I heated the ball joints up with the "flamethrower" tip on my gas soldering iron (you could also use a kitchen blowtorch) to try to soften the threadlock, then used an open ended 12mm spanner (not a socket or the round end ones) and it came off with a bit of force.

Just for reference my '08 HR did not have threadlock on them, but did require quite a force to start them off but easy once started.

  3. IIRC the newer models had two adjustments rather than one, this allowed the front half of the base to go up independently from the rear half of the base. I started with mine fully ramped up and slowly bringing the back half down to make use of the lumbar support. Might be worth keeping a eye out for a breaking 350z on ebay etc and then re-purposing their seats and selling yours on.

Edit: i know this is LHD but mine is RHD and has the two adjustments wheels.

  4. I'm about to order a pair from SGS. Anyone know what is the size of the bolt that screws into the bootlid? I just tried a couple of spanners on it - 11mm is too small but 12mm seems too slack and I don't want to risk stripping the bolt.

PS Haven't been on the forum for a couple of years now but still running the original Z. :)

I ended up using a very narrow/thin adjustable spanner as I only had my imperial scanners and couldn't get any to fit cleanly.

  5. If it's just the side indicators then why not try a tint spray.

    Like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-x-200ml-Auto-Car-Lights-Glass-Body-Spray-Paint-Tint-Black-Smoke-/252072370873?hash=item3ab0af22b9:g:0AsAAOSwLVZV3u9X

I did it about two decades ago to my first cars rear tail lights. Looked pretty good ~ 90's style. :teeth:;)

Haha, hadn't realised it was that cheap. Saw a can for about £20 and thought I could just buy smoked ones for that! But for a few quid if it looks awful I can always wipe it off.

  6. Mine were from Carlab there's a thread on here all about them and a discount. Very easy to fit , bumper off then pretty much plug and play ( you will need to do a small very easy mod to have the fog light working).

Been thinking about these for a while, any ideas on where I can find the mod?
