  1. I was looking at the Cross version of the Recaros (with the low seat bolster) a while back and got recommended to look at the Braum range of seats that Torqen are selling - https://www.torqen.uk/364_braum - good quality, lots of material and colour choices and considerably cheaper than Recaro or Cobra - with the Braums get you both seats for the price of one Recaro/Cobra !

I was tempted by the Racing Elites in white leather -

  3. The only way to get finer adjustment on the linkages is to use double ended left/right threaded rods and matching rose joints & locking nuts.

Or you could put a slight bend in the linkages and use a vice grip to flatten it to the 'right' amount :p

  4. Wow, the controversy of donut fillings (or lack of :p ) I will go for raspberry jam filling if rings aren't available, but anything else - well, y're just weirdos :teeth:

And yeah, a local butchers bacon would definitely taste better, but that would mean I have to walk down the high street on a Friday evening, rather than trolley surfing around Tescos with the rest of my weekly shop :wheelchair:

  5. Seems I'm the only modding their 370z for these couple of weeks !

Finally got some helpful weather, so these and the tools got pulled on to the front drive:

  6. I was lucky enough to find a late model S14a, with low mileage and only 3 previous owners who had taken very good care of it - and as soon as the tin worm made an appearance in my sills, I had the whole rear sill section replaced - so rust never really made much of an impact on my SX ownership; unlike the fuel pump failure that happened with a month of me getting the car !

The fuel pump is a cheap and easy replacement, that can ensure you can avoid being stuck in a single track country lane, in the middle of the night, waiting for a sour-arsed AA driver to turn up - like I did! Unless you're really negligent, rust isn't likely to do that :p

And in my defence - I did say about the sills & wheel arches rusting in the first paragraph of my post

  7. Well, the filters and stickers are red so that got to add at least 10-15bhp, right ? :)

Seriously though, the smooth bore of the intakes will help flow, against the crinkle cut of the standard elephant trunks, as well as the increase in filter surface area. At some point I'm going to fit some ducting from the front grille through the front bulkhead to replace the air box tunnels I had to remove, to increase the fresh air feed.

Then will probably go for an ECUTek upgrade at it's next service with Abbey, to tie in these and the free-flow exhaust I got at the beginning of the year.

  8. The concentrated fumes from the top of the tanker and any spark/increase in local heat from the filament when he turned on the light in his phone would have been enough to flash ignite the vapour.
