  1. So i got pulled yesterday 😳 i was driving around a roundabout well under the speed limit and all of a sudden lost the rear end but pulled it back no problem . I wasnt trying to go fast or even drift as i told the office i put it down to something been slippy on the road surface . he didnt buy it and charged me for driving without due care for others £100 fine and 3 points. I would like to challenge this in court as i really wasnt driving badly and he was about 3 cars back by himself and i arnt sure wever he got footage of it or not neither was he . where do i stand ?

  2. Well after about 1500 miles in my new 370 my flywheel has decided to start juddering quite harshly and it continues to get worse.

After getting a quote from nissan for around £1600 without labour for changing the clutch and flywheel, does anyone know of anywhere I could possibly get the parts any cheaper? Or any trusted garages to do the work around the lincolnshire area?

Aware I may just have to bite the bullet!

Mine went on my 2015 nismo after 6500 miles from new 😳. Well turns out the concentric slave cylinder had ripped and soaked my clutch in oil so it wasnt gripping ! But as nissan wasted a fortune just to look at it to see if it was a warrenty job and after endless phone calls. I just decided to upgrade to a light fly and heavyer duty clutch with braided line made by extreme clutches i think the full kit plus fitting was around £1500 (then you can get a ecutek tune and have launch control and flat foot shifting). I had it fitted by horsham developments who have done all my tunning. not near you but worth the long drive if you carnt find anywhere.

  3. Before. Always before.

That's if you're going to at all, and tbh even then it depends on how long ago they were done. If the oil is coming up to a year old you might as well, likewise the brake fluid at two years. If you only did them last month though, then I wouldn't touch either.

Thanks engine oil was done 5months ago and had motul 660 brake fluid in for 3months so should be ok im guessing

  4. Interesting bits! Never seen a 370z plenum for sale, thanks to kharmon for being the forum guinea pig! Just wondering about the hps hoses, presumably the oem jobbies have flex joints to let them....flex? For a reason?

No idea probably just their for ease of install from the factory or their cheaper to produce?. ive ran the hps hoses for around 8000 miles now and no problems plus they still have flex in them.

  5. That's cool, how did it do on the dyno? I've got gen 3's on order and looking for a ecutek remap.

Gained 5bhp mid range but no gain on peak bhp . Ive got the one from my car which i am going to bore out at work this weekend if your interested .

  6. I used these sizes on my 370z Nismo wheels:

    F: 245/40 R19

    R: 285/35 R19

    Standard:

    F: 245/40 R19

    R: 275/35 R19

    Wheel sizes:

    F: 19x 9.5-inch P245 / 40 ZR 19" offset +40

    R: 19x10.5-inch P285 / 35 ZR 19" offset +23

Thanks dude enough grip for them turbos 😄

  7. Very interesting read, when i've got my exhaust and HFC's fiited i will be going to Horsham to get the same work done on my Nismo.

Yeah definatly get your modds dine first . if you ever want to see what its like i dont mind taking you fir a ride in mine if your anywhere near farnham area drop me a message

  8. Glad you're happy with it mate and thanks for the write up. Oddly enough, I don't feel compelled to make the move from uprev, given that, from what you're saying, it doesn't seem to create noticeably improved throttle response during normal driving or a power hike (over uprev). I'm not knocking it - I'm sure it's great, especially if you don't already have the uprev. I just doubt I'd feel it was enough of a benefit to me personally to justify the additional expense over the uprev.

I dot feel any more throttel response compaired to the uprev and no power gain on the dyno .

In genral would say if you dont have a tune already go straight to ecutek but if you already have a uprev it depends if the extra features are worth it . ps if you already have a uprev license you dont have to pay for a ecutek license so it knocked £££ off the tuning bill.

  9. Sounds really cool! Really liking the sound of the ecutek. Would like to get it on mine one day, mines a 7AT though so bit gutted no launch control!

Would still be worth it for the traction control though 👌 plus it has really a decent knock warning system to keep your engine safe .

  10. Just made the change from up rev to ecuteck .For any one interested .

It was on my 2015 e70z nismo . Horsham Developments carried out all the work and did a top job as always.

So i already had a exstreme clutch kit, slave cilender and light weight fly fitted so i went ahead and took advantage of the goodies on offer launch control ,flat foot shifting and tuned traction control. All of which have put a huge smile on my face. The launch control gives you adjustable launching rpm using the cruise controle toggle .The flat foot shifting means you can keep the throttel wide open and let the electronics do the work during gear shifts (it sounds ****ing awesome 💪) and the traction control has e settings either nissans on or off rubbish . Fully off or the enhanced traction control setting which allowes for progressive slides but most impressive is it really controls the launch without spinning up the rear like mad also from 1st gear to 2nd stopps the wheel spin and just feeds the power smoothly .

It didnt make anymore power at peak just remained at 355bhp at the crank. I installed a ported intake manifold befor the tune which also didnt net any top end bhp but did gain around 5bhp mid range.

All in all money well spend and i would strongly recommend getting it done .!

  11. Thanks guys any reason why people are going wider or is it purely for looks rather than performance ?

When I had the standard 18" Rays alloys although I could have maybe fitted slightly wider tyres on then that which were on it originally the benefits would have been so minimal it really wasn't worth it.

When I changed the alloys on my 350Z to 19's from the standard 18's I had wider tyres then because the alloys themselves were wider (9.5J & 10.5J) so they required wider width tyres.

I did benefit with more traction I'd say but the extra weight over the standard lighter forged alloys probably slowed the car down overall with a heavier corner weight on each corner.

Good point didnt think about the added weight ill just get the standard size then carnt go wrong . fronts are 245/40 r19 and rears are 285/35 r19

  12. So im due to change all 4 tyres next week ive decided im going for MPSS all round but i carnt decide on the sizes. Does any one have any idea on the ideal tyre size for grip without rubbing issues ? Should i go wider onthe front and rear or just stick with the standard size ? Thanks

  13. I had an email asking what sort of styling (lights, interior parts, canards, spats etc) products people would like to see made for the 370z So any ideas?

They have suggested rear fog light and interior carbon fibre parts so far.

    Anything developed from this ?

  15. Definitely worth it, sound, look and perform great. Tarmac Sportz got them delivered to me super quick!

Im running e370 with art pipes and can still hear the induction noise.

    Made 332 WHP with these.

    332whp thats impressive !

  16. The Halfords outdoor car cover (large) fits my Mk1 Nismo well. I'd recommend giving one a try before investing in a more expensive one. They are decent quality and will give you a chance to see if you get on with car covers. Not everyone has the patience to put them on and take them off again - it takes a while to get the hang of it. You obviously need to make sure the car is completely clean before you put any cover on or the paint will suffer. I've been using one for over two years now because I have to park in the street - works really well for me. (I added the permit holder window in the picture myself as we have to display a resident's permit). If you decide to get one drop me a PM and I'll message you some tips about how to secure it better than the way Halfords recommends. Cover_zps8fa4bd1c.jpg

Looks decent thanks for the heads up !
