Hi all, I came across a picture of a Z with unusual sideskirts. I quite like them I think, although would like to see them up a little closer. Can anyone help me identify them? Thanks

Well I have all of the above now, and in just the right amounts of each! I was never wanting my Z to sound like a civic with its guts being ripped out so you are ok there!

Well firstly, this poor z doesn't have the side plates on the right way round. If you have a close look at the top end of the blade, you will see it protrudes above the end plate. APR designed it with aerodynamics in mind and the shape is the way it is supposed to be, like mine. I do understand what you are saying but never the less, this picture is wrong and just to show you, this is the picture from the APR website. I did put them on the way you can see when I first applied them but the fitment was wrong so I referred to the paperwork in the box (not something us men tend to do! ) and found I put them on wrongly. As far as the oem spoiler is concerned, I actually think they go together rather well but each to their own. Some people don't like 350Zs at all! (Imagine that? Lol) Secondly, I was informed that the 200 drag wing has been redesigned and the brackets were now slightly further apart (I don't know why they changed that) so I couldn't source an older version with the slightly narrower spacing. I therefore had to make up some angled footplates in order for the brackets to fit properly.

Exactly, especially when you are about to potentially wreck your own car!

Thanks mate. Yes, I know what you mean about end plates but yes, that's how APR designers have used the aerodynamics and come up with that. I agree, does look odd. But I LOVE it. Great quality too!

So my latest mod, a carbon fibre APR Performance low wing

Well I decided to push the boat out and ordered an APR Performance drag wing from the good old USofA ! So glad I did , it is Fan bloody tastic ! So I plucked up the courage and decided to install it myself. Plenty of measuring, and even had to manufacture some angled footplates so the wing brackets would sit level on the tailgate. But all was good in the end and just managed to finish it this evening. What do you think? I LOVE it.

Got mine from RT performance, needed a little reshaping so I drove it to RT themselves and they sorted it for me. Lovely product though.

Well the Burgess Hill area is roughly in the centre of these towns, although i dont know any good pubs with a fair size carpark around there, maybe someone can help, I'll ask zippypooz, he lives around that way. In fact, how about a 2 pub meet? Meet up at one, then after a while, all convoy to the second?

Well peeps, I've been searching the forum about aftermarket wing mirrors and there aren't as many entries as I would have thought. The ones that are there have no longer got any pics so here we we go with a new ask. ........ Has anyone removed their wing mirrors for aftermarket ones? I'm looking at getting track style mirrors, the carbon ones with the thin stem. Was just wondering what they would look like and wondered how easy it was to do? Anyone, please?

Blocko, I went for the Borla without the mid boxes. Running with a K&N typhoon induction kit. Makes a lovely sound everytime you use the gas pedal. No drone just that aggressive growl and whistle when you put your foot down. (YouTube 350z non resonated borla). The tips are nice but if you don't like them, just get the garage to weld some different ones on! If you know a reputable custom exhaust shop, then go visit and discuss. They should have years of experience dealing with all kinds of engines and there sounds. I have a really good one that I send people too and he really knows his stuff. They should know multiple combinations of HFC, mids and rears and will have plenty of tips for you to choose from. Good luck on your quest. Post a video so we can see and hear your final Choice!

Next mod completed...... a new roof spoiler. Bought it from tarmacsportz although the finish quality was far from what I would normally expect from them ( bad cut lines, scratches etc) but as it was there last one I decided to work on it in my workshop and finish it myself. I managed to recut the edges and straighten it up but sadly I couldn't buff all the marks out on the gel coat so was left with a problem, to paint or to Vinyl? They said I was going to meet a world class rapper...... Eminem I thought......... nope...... they meant WRAPPER..... Yes..... THAT Wrapper! So, you can imagine my dilemma..... to paint or Wrap? Oh well, wrapping it was and off to see zippypooz I went. Lovely job! Thanks Steve, great job. ALL HAIL ZIPPYPOOZ
