Have an Abarth 500 as a car to use and abuse when I'm not offshore, seen plenty GT cruisers struggle to keep up. (Well up to 80, anyway)

Cheap, rudimentary tracker solutions are available to anyone who cares to look on eBay, they won't lower your premiums like a paid thatcham one, but it's better to have something to fall back on than sweet FA.

Largely depends on the VIN number you have. Various sites can decode an EU or Japanese VIN, you just need to know which you have.

Yeah that's what I'm referring to - pushing 500bhp in a lighter car than the GTR will eat into its market share, surely? Maybe it will happen, just very sceptical.

The Z's heritage doesn't count for much, we've have Twin Turbo Z's, NA Z's, viscous diff, LSD, convertible. This is the natural progression of a car series in a market dominated more by emissions laws and efficacy than sentimentality.

Nissan can't ignore the power to fuel efficiency of modern Turbo engines as far as emissions and competitive performance is concerned. The hybrid is an interesting idea but many people, myself included question why you'd elevate your 2 seater sports car series to compete with your flagship supercar, the GTR in terms of performance.

I see the hybrid idea falling off the production rollout, but I do hope they do a balls out version with the VR30DDTT from the Q60. That would have the Z in a very healthy position against competing R & RS models.

I have to be honest with you - I'm a little underwhelmed that they're offering a track-spec Z34 with just 355PS & 374 N.m for a whopping £88,500 ticket price. That's just 11 PS & 3 N.m more than the street-spec Nismo 370Z. For £88k you could build a base-model 370z from the ground up that would trounce that thing and probably a few GTR's as well. *smh*

I don't know about that, my old DE was on its original pump and it was well over 80,000k. Perhaps because of the slightly thicker oil its thrown its hand in early? Who knows?

Good news that they think they've found the issue. Let us know how you get on once they fit a new pump.

Check the catch can and see how much oil is in it. If you're getting blow-by it'll have oil in it. If there's a lot of oil...
