From a dealer,
Not a main dealer but found an immaculate 12 plate from a 2nd hand dealer who sells top end cars,
It was a lot of money to me but it was one of their cheaper cars,
They were selling £80/90k 2nd hand cars like Audi R8's and Porsche's.
In my experience private dealers are far easier to deal with and will sort things out on the car once the money has been handed over.
My question is why walk away from the 2011 plate with low miles, because it had 4 previous owners or that it was scuffed etc?
A bit of both Tuck,
I could have accepted the ammount of owners if the car was immaculate,
There was 3 areas of damage on the paintwork that the dealer was going to get touched up, plus a few scuffs inside,
Personally i think the dealer should have sorted any damage then advertised it.
Ioneabee i will give details once i got her, i would hate to jinx anything.
Yeah that does question the transparency of some dealers. Some people would happily drop £21k plus all their pricey warrantees (that'll never pay out) and some expensive paint protection program (equivalent of a wash n' wax) when the car has already been washed at the dealership, with the sponge equivalent of a brick.
They won't fix anything that the buy hasn't pointed out. Nissan Perth point blank refused to replace a cracked headlight as it cost £1400 ish!
I've just put a deposit down on a 2011 370 with 4 previous owners, got worried that this might be a mistake, but I've driven the car twice and my own mechanic is going to have a look, drive and plug in a reader for any previous problems or underlying problems.
