i change jobs once a year. 4 weeks into this one. so i get through alot of interviews - ive turned down job because they dont suit my needs: thats probably my advice to anyone, remember an interview is a 2-way process. including wages!
i caused a stink with the recruitment agency this time around because i was offered the job, and i said ''great, this is the amount i want £'' which was some £6k on top of the offer they had a fit, but guess what. i spoke to the employers, explained why and sold myself (again) and i got it.
always a 2-way street.
which ties in with the ''what to tell them'', i always treat every prospect as ''The only job for me'', i tell the recruiters that i am on demand, and that im actively looking and others are progressing my applications. but when it comes to sittingdown with the employers in interview i make it clear that their company is where i want to be.
Sell yourself. and by saying you love their comnpany and the prospects and etc, what you are actually doing is complimenting them and inflating heads - works a treat
Think of it like a playground social experiment; you always like the kids that are nice to you, and will gravitate towards those kids.

Actually hes been here reading. I logged on today with a notification.."aminul likes ur post" in my notification centre.... Think about it.
lol at this guy.
Someone said above that half term has finished.
think about that....

is it any good?

trolol
i hadnt realised that the King of Shane guy has only made 3 posts since signing up, and all 3 are in this thread. and all 3 are very useful and productive posts.
such lol.
but then, so is this post really. its very useful.
so, obviously theres an issue here between people perception of ''what is the first thing you should do to the Z'' , ''what would you do first to the zed'' and ''what is a mod, and what would you mod first''

Modification:
: the act or process of changing parts of something : the act or process of modifying something
or
: a change in something (such as a system or style)
Quoted from a reliable internet source that didnt begin with the word Wiki.
so, as far im concerned, my airfreshner idea is still valid. As i can say i modified the scent style of the ambiant atmospheric conditions upon which my respiratory system operates
anyone who disagrees with it can go speak to Mr Dictionary at Location Oxford.
now, you may continue squabbling with oil. But remember to quote either perception or dictionary definition within your attempt to win an argument with a peer.
in other news, i am at work and very, very busy.
did you also hear that scientists want to inspect Surfers Rectums for an ecoli experiment. WTF you cant publish that BBC !

First essential Mod - Well theres only one clear winner:
The Fancy Airfreshner.
Any other mod isnt essential, only desirable.

so i was just going through my calender at work and i have sunday booked off as 'busy'
after racking my brains i had a lightbulb moment! it was this meet.
this came around quick! jesus.
this is why you put it into a calender
Darren-B, now i know why you PMed about a convoy. I thought this meet was weeks away.
so - who are the Kent / Medway Zedders? Shall we organise a small convoy?
Looking at Darren and Wayne, judging by the list. anyone else?

aha, there you go ^^^
so there are bespoke uses for them. i didnt think of nos.

Mine used to do it if left in hot sunshine all day. Then it stopped for a few years, then it started again. PITA but then it went again ...
Apply suncream when waxing the car - problem solved.

Mighty car mods did a test on one of these chips a while ago, they got a electronic engineer to see what it actually did and it literally did nothing, there was a dummy chip and all it really did was light up a LED.
this is part true true, i saw that episode - correct outcome but that wasnt a piggyback, that was a resistor chip
ebady, if you have to ask if it works, then it probably doesnt work.
I have used a piggyback system on a previous project because i cut a corner going for a full aftermarket ECU (the car in question wasnt remappable, engine mappers couldnt get into the box). A piggyback is generally limited to what it can adjust. essentially it falsifies sensor data to adjust the resident ECUs behaviour. i beleive some newer products like SMT-8 ( i think it was 8?) can do a bit more. but they are generally only of any use if you cant map the resident ECU
... on Zeds, we can. so piggybacks dont have any use or function that make them worth the time and effort.

i dont doubt that.
but if a flash is resolvable by reset, then i will only be bothered if A: it becomes solid (which indicates a loss of connectivity to the airbag, im told) or B: if the flashing light is re-occuring.
its my typical Microsoftsynrome - first diagnostic is to restart! Then smile when its fixed with no idea what the problem was or how to prevent it reoccuring.

Kent Messanger put the fire down to a recycling plant, apparently.
i shouldve sent them an email, and said the cause was down to a new brand of Engine Based BBQ, that was a new feature for this summer, had malfunctioned and caused a fire so extravagant that firemen from afar as Sussex came to whiteness the Japanese phenomenon.
....
and attached the above picutures
i bet some berk in the news print wouldv fallen for it.
-
Before you reset the light, perhaps you should find out why it's flashing.
mine is flashing because the bulb got bored of only saying hello during ignition.
hes had his time in the lime light. its now time for me to turn him off, the social sod.
a solid airbag light is a problem.

Knowledge Request: Lamba Sensors
in Exhaust
Posted
hi chaps.
Question for anyone thats been tinkering around under the car before.
Is it possible to, by mistake, plug the wrong Lamba plug into the wrong socket?
Just asking as i have an ecu output showing one bank being adjusted too rich, and one being adjusted too lean. im wondering if the wrong afr signal is being sent to the ecu as the wrong bank. because (from the way i understand it) both banks are quite opposite to each other, in terms of ecu adjusted fueling.
Cheers
