  1. Yes, when I swapped my crank pulley I saw the stock one had a rubberized component in it. I agree, the stock clutch/fly does a lot of damping, too. I would not worry at all about a lightweight crank pulley.

A slightly different matter will be when I need to upgrade my clutch/fly for the TT with said Competition Clutch kit. I will still have spring loaded clutch disk but no more dual mass flywheel. Damping will be compromise to some degree.

Given hat I never read about harmonics induced crankshaft failures I take the risk. :surrender:

  2. ... One of my mates has a 300hp Fabia diesel, it's absolutely nuts and it smokes like the ones you see on youtube! Hope he can come along but i wouldn't want to be behind him

    Matt

    LOL, me neither :yuck:

I'd like to come along, too, weather permitting. Telford is just 1h 48 min away.

Thx James for the invite :) Hope John comes too given his current exhaust issue

  3. Thank goodness for that. I can buy the Motordyne shockwave 2 now :)

Possibly the best sound to match your power output ;)

The shockwave))) is also said to be compatible with both, NA and SC.

Just wondering if it would be toooo loud with decats though René?

Fair point. It might make high-speed motorway driving very noisy. The Motordyne Shockwave is "quiet" at 2-3krpm cruise, but has a resonance at 4krpm (loud racy rasp - perfect for scaring by-standers :p) and quietens down again above 5krpm to redline. You've heard the loundess of mine with Berk 200cells. Empty downpipes ought to be a tad louder still. But I'm not sure how Motordyne ART downpipes would sound with the shockwave since you'd introduce a second pair of Helmholtz resonators. They ought to be quieter than straight-through downpipes.

  4. Great turn out and many really good looking ZEDs on show.

    Best 350 ZED was Bodyboarder81

    Best 370 ZED was V1H

    Best other ZED was Darren-B

Best ZED of the meet was Jonnymonno - both seen here:

Sorry, didn't get a chance to take any more photos.....where did the day go.......so looking forward to seeing lots more pics

Hi Colin, been a pleasure meeting you :)

And yep, you mixed up me and Jonny, it's the other way round :)

Awesome picture everybody uploaded.. I like the saturated colors :p

  5. It may not convey very well in the image because of the flash light but IMHO the silver alcantara nicely goes with the aluminium trims in the Z's interior. Black alcantara would've been nice too, no doubt, but I wanted it to stand out of all the other black trims, given the exclusivity of this material ;)

  6. I went with your recommendation and Jack@RoyalSteeringWheels has done a great job at re-trimming my steering wheel. I've just received it in the post today :)

    I went for

    Reprofiled + flat bottom

    Silver grey alcantara 4978 sides

    Perforated leather top&bottom

    Red centre band

    White stitching

I love the looks and feel!

This is how it look installed, back-to-back.
