Adrian, do you know if this kit can be installed w/o dropping the engine? I couldn't find that info at AAM's release thread. Thx.
-
Ah I see, it's a big-balls version, no cats at all
I'd like to keep my Berks though for emissions and the fume smells. So again, with the HFC downpipes option what's the heat stress on them compared to the supercharger?
-
Maybe a stupid question, but would the Berk HFCs be subjected to less heat stress with a TT kit since much of the exhaust kinetic energy is absorbed by the turbine wheel? Thanks for clarification
-
Correct, the HFC won't last too long on a SC car. Best to go decats.
I've also got Berks and fancy this SC, but can I ask how to pass M.O.T. with decats?

Great news to be announced today, TORQEN UK partnerships with AAM Competition USA to help developing a RHD Twin Turbo kit for the UK market, capable of 1000BHP, for both Auto and Manual boxes.
Olala! Exactly what I have been looking for and couldnt get on the370Z.com ... a RHD TT Kit
I'd be your first customer without a second thought!
Question is, when will it be available and will it be before I bury my hopes in frustration and get a Stillen SC.
Might you give us a rough idea on the release date?
What (rough) price tag can we expect: 7k, 8k, 9k GBP?
-
You sure GM? I'm sure mine looks like this..
Interesting, your Maxflow RACE BOV is described here as acting as a Bypass valve @ 4-5 psi and as BOV @ 10-11 psi.
Confused anybody?
-
I see. Not having a conventional BOV may have to do with the fact that the Supercharger has a rather different way of building boost when compared to a Turbo. And except for max rpm the boost will not be max either but prop to rpm, so a "pshhhh" wouldn't probably be heard at, say 4psi, anyway even if it had a BOV
Cheers

Hello all
may I ask a dumb question to the Stillen Supercharger owners among us, since I am planning on getting one myself next year.
Does the Supercharger feature a BOV? I believe it must dump boost at closed throttle just like a Turbo. And if that's the case, is this BOV a closed type or does it dump to atmosphere?
The reason I'm asking is I totally love the BOV sound on Turbo cars (who doesn't ) but I never ever heard a BOV sound on supercharger, incl. the Stillen.

Congrats nissanman312, on your UpRev tune! I already envy u
I am on the370Z.com forum but I just joined this forum, too, to be amonst 370Z UK owners
I am on a search to find a UK based UpRev Tuner myself and already found Abbey Motorsport and H-Dev, which both are too far away. But RS Tuning, Leeds might become my choice of Tuner. It'd be 1hr drive away.
How much did a custom tune at Abbey cost u if u dont mind me asking?

Well, I've installed con-rods, pistons, cam and clutches single-handedly on my garage floor before.
I reckon install labour would be around £3k and I don't know of a reputable shop near Sheffield either.
Thanks
But I'd b the 370Z guinea pig for this fine piece of TT-technology
