  4. Thanks Jon, i found a company doing recon units with 12 month warranty and free next day delivery for £140 before this popped up, but thanks again
  5. After the above for a 2004 if anyone has both or either. Colour is the Darker silver (Crhomesilver)? It will need to come to the Isle of Man but it really isn't much more by most carriers but happy to pay?
  6. Yeah, not so simple on the isle of man. I'll get offered some @*!# flat metallic silver.
  7. Any ideas, it's not your normal metallic, it almost has a pear in it. (or a tleast mine do) I like mine and I'd like to get them redone so any paint code close would be great. Cheers
  8. As you likely know by now that is "beyond economic repair" and this has happened to me twice. My first was my first Z that someone drove into for me, i simply delayed collection and ensured anything of value was either off the car or replaced with stock parts. I sent them some autotrader and ebay links showing cost of replacement and I got "replacement cost" rather than the "book price" like they like to give. Again I had a GSXR-750 wrote off for me this year, I paid a low price in Jan being the winter but come summer when I looked to replace I did the same, they paid out 1,200 more than I paid for my one in Jan to cover the price rise come summer. All this said the key is being honest with your insurance about mods, where it is kept, and your particulars etc....as you never know when bad stuff happens. If they have no reason to question you, in my experience, just push for what it would cost to replace like for like and accept no less and they will pay. If there is discrepancies...well you signed a contract and they are well within their right to tell you to do one. I do feel for your loss though, its terrible to have to see this of something you have given so much time and effort for

  11. Seen a few in Douglas over here, anyone on the forum?
  12. cats perhaps but no point srcapping a perfectly good mid section and y-pipe, plenty of people decide to go back to standard.
  13. Cheers mate, good to meet you hope you had a safe drive back!
  14. Full exhaust from cat back in good condition, bolts were badly rusted so it had to be cut off, so I have knocked out all the studs. I caught the centre section with the grinder but have had this plugged by a professional welder and its as good as new. I also have the two cats, knocking out the the studs bent the flange on one, When i hit it straight it cracked the weld but i think could be repaired, so one good cat and one bad. I'm moving to Isle of Man in March so £100 for the lot. http://www.tekara.co...7_25_59_Pro.jpg http://www.tekara.co...7_26_16_Pro.jpg http://www.tekara.co...7_26_31_Pro.jpg http://www.tekara.co...7_29_03_Pro.jpg http://www.tekara.co...7_29_16_Pro.jpg http://www.tekara.co...7_29_26_Pro.jpg

  20. I feel for you, this happened to my GTI-R, i'd put some masking tape on for a quick touch with the spray gun. Took the tape off and pulled half the paint off! and it was the night before being on a show stand at Trax lol - that was one late night!
  21. OBD2 is a generic thing that all cars support, however the information it gives off can be somewhat limited and will not read absolutely every individual detail. There are countless interfaces, cables, bluetooth thingy majigs which will read OBD2 and then you get an app which will turn that data into something sueful like some of those mentioned above, be it just a generic OBD piece of software or a better app like Torque on android. For real indepth information you need the manufacturer compatible software - from about 2004'ish onwards nissan wise it needs to support the Consult 3 protocol. Its the same for others too - VAGCOM for audi, seat etc and Opcom/Tech2 for Vauxhalls - these "custom" softwares are what let you do things like recode keys and RFID chips etc to the ECU etc.. and provide the real indept stuff. VAGCOM told me my old mans fan on his climate control was running a little slow for instance and that he'd set his alarm by mistake. Hope it helps
