  1. that before and after is messing with my head, the car looks a different colour and the door is on the wrong side if I believe that the main garage door is behind me in the second picture

Although... If the main garage door is not behind the camera in the second picture... he's going to have a hard time getting the car out!

  2. If they're the products that you have, then that would be the way to go. Depending on how difficult the marring is to remove, you might need to step up on the pad but of its just holograms it shouldn't take much cut to remove.

If you're buying compounds and pads again, my preferences are the Hydro-Tech pads and Scholl compounds personally.

I've got the compound already but the pads I don't, if somebody was to give me a good reason why M105 or M205 would be a terrible decision on the zed then i'd go for something else...

I'll take a look at the Hydro-Tech pads! Thanks

  3. I've had holograms in the paintwork ever since I got the car but now the weather is much better (got the car in September) I can see them a lot more and it's bugging me!

I bought a DAS 6 Pro to use on my last car, along with some M105 and M205 but ended up selling it and buying the zed. I just didn't love the old car enough to spend a day or more detailing it.

After looking around the internet, i'm inclined to try use the DA with some Lake Country CCS black foam pads with the m205 in a test area and see what happens... does anybody have some advice on removing holograms... should I be doing it differently?

Just been out to the car at lunch and took this in the work car park, not the BEST to show you the problem but you get the idea from the area behind the handle... except its all round the car in those vertical lines from top to bottom

  4. every year or every 9000 miles, whichever is sooner. so yes, service due in 500 miles, assuming it hasn't been longer than a year since the last one.

Thanks mate, I think it may have been over a year since the last one but I'd have to check. I'm assuming this would be a P1 service this time around?

    P1, P2, P1, P3 is the schedule irc

  5. I'll be going along to the one on June 14th. If anyone else is free or thinking of coming along, put your hand up and make your way to the front please :)

Usual times, meet at The Old Beams, Stourport just before 08:00 and head to Shelsley at 08:00 for breakfast :snack: The club has got bigger and better (more cars) each month, so I expect the next few month's clubs to be very busy (with lots to look at and drool over).

I won't be able to make the June one but I am aiming for July!

  6. i have a set of 17" you can borrow - over in Kings Lynn though

Bit far unfortunately, but thanks for the offer

If you can collect from Woking, I have wheels with tyres you can borrow. Or if you pay the postage you can have some wood

Closer than Mudman but still a bit much I think, thanks though!

I should be ok for wood :p

Whats wrong with just leaving your car at the garage, seems like a lot of hassle not to.

That was the original plan, but after a few recent conversations with people about having my wheels done they've all advised against leaving it with them and I've been swayed to agree with them! :surrender:

I'll probably end up going for some of those halfrauds axle stands, give it a go at jacking it up and putting them underneath... although after searching the forum it seems they won't sit right on the sills because they're flat and may cause damage

so either some wood with a groove cut in it or a hockey puck with a groove cut in it?

I feel like i've made a bit of a fuss over something that should really be pretty simple to most people

  7. Prop the car up on axle stands or blocks when the wheels are away.

I haven't got anything to do that with either, just the scissor jack that's with the space saver

I'm not sure if it's worth buying though, I don't really know what i'm doing with it!

  8. This may seem an odd request, but has anybody local to Coventry got a spare set of wheels (any) that I can swap onto my zed while mine are refurbished, then return them to you after?

I don't want to leave my car with the wheel refurb guys and so I thought the easiest thing for me to do is just change the wheels over for the 2 days... I asked if they can provide some loan wheels but they don't have any...

So if you have a spare set of wheels sat in the garage and you are near Coventry... please send me a PM

  9. Not a lot to say about this really, genuine Nissan cargo net that comes with the original packaging and instructions (not that either are a great selling point!)

I'm selling it for £30 posted to your door, payment via paypal

    OR

If you are at Japfest next week you can have it for £25 cash as I won't need to post

  10. if the conservatives win then its because the majority of people want that. Thats the whole point of votes really.

But that's not the case, at the moment they only have 37% of the votes... the majority of people didn't want that

  11. Airbag light was flashing again after removing carpets for cleaning.

In the past I give the connectors a squeeze and reset and its all good.

Did the same today but now the flashing has changed from normal on/off to 2 fast flashes followed by a slower one........just as MOT booked tomorrow!

That'll teach me to try and get the car clean and presentable before going for service and mot.

Anyway, any idea what this change in sequence means so I can give the garage a heads up tomorrow?

I've had the same experience, used to always be on then off in the same sort of time frame but after a reset it came back and did the slow flashing... after about a day it just stopped by itself... I've got no idea what caused it but i'm glad to see its not just me! Hopefully yours goes away too

  12. Oh and stick to wired, my ethos is if it is mobile like a phone etc then WIFI, if it stays in one place like a console or a PC then it should be wired :p

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Will definitely sort out an ethernet for it soon.

Just means running 10 metres or so of cable so I guess it's not a big deal really and should improve my gaming speed too. Thanks again.

Take a look at powerline adapters if you don't want to run cable through the house... I use them for a few of my wired bits of kit!

  13. Where abouts will you heading from? If needs be, we can change the location! I don't mind meeting anywhere!

The location above was just central and because I'm not from around the area I just googled lol

A change of location might spur more interest :D

I'm in Coventry, so i'll be looking to join the M42 at junction 6... If there isn't much interest though it might not be worth it.. I'm not sure how many West Midlands members are actually going... might not be many of us!

  14. Just before you read this I'm not from round this area just up here with work and think it would be great to get some cars together! So if you can think of a better meet up point be my guest and throw some names of places about!

Had a google about and thought this might be a good place, what you think?

    Road: M6 between J3 and J3a

    Address: Welcome Break Ltd

    Motorway Services Area M6

    Corley

    Coventry

    Warwickshire

    CV7 8NR

Timings, was think 0500, due the trip down and traffic closer to the event plus, getting the cars parked for the guys on the Zed stand!

If my timings are way out also let me know!

Hopefully we can get a few cars together and have a great day!

Like I said before, if my timings are way out please let me know :D my first show, so don't really know the ins and outs haha

I'd get involved but the meeting point is the opposite direction I want to be travelling in to get there so it doesn't make sense for me to go back on myself im afraid
