It sounds like that as the variator is warn... Pretty common amongst the italian cars. Seems people are reluctant to have them replaced at service time because of the expense!

Nice to see so many previous alfa owners though!! and more encouraging that 5500 should get me a car!!

Good afternoon gents and ladies! Thought i would finally sign up and have a look around. I've had a few years where I've been into Alfa Romeo's and am currently still working on an Alfa 147 with a Fiat coupé 20v Turbo engine. Whilst that's in the process I'm going to need another car which has made me look into getting a 350z! We're in the process of selling the house and with any luck some funds will then come up to buy said car. Reckon £5500 would get me a decent example?
