  1. That would explain it then...to be fair, it's a nice looking car
  2. Just found this add on autotrader and after noticing the bulge free bonnet and single intake engine, I thought the dealer was lying about the year...checked it on the sorn website and it was indeed 1st registered in April 08!...must've been lying in the showroom for a while!!
  3. Wtf is the 1.2 corsa on this list??.. my hr zed costs £250 fully comp with admiral but my shopping trolley corsa is 100 quid more! ...girl at admiral explained that premiums depend on how many of each model have been involved in crashes, not engine size or tedium level...so there's millions of corsa/fiesta 1.2's being driven and wrecked by newly qualifieds, and relatively few zeds on the road...by comparison, if I'd bought an audi tt my premium would be much higher coz they're everywhere, and hairdressers can't drive lol
  4. I changed the battery in my 08 hr...same bosch s4 as you...the procedure was disconnect old battery, fit new one, job done:-)
  5. Thanks Alex, plugs were done at 42000 and mileage is now almost 57000...I'll get a diagnostic n see if it shows anything up...seems strange that it's running perfectly at all other times...wouldn't that suggest the coils and plugs aren't the problem?
  6. My 08 350 has developed a hesitation at low rpm...the problem appears after warm up when pulling away and when re-applying light throttle after lifting off ie in slow traffic...it just happens for a fraction of a second and the car drives fine otherwise ....i found a thread from 2013 with the same symptoms, but apart from mark at Abbey suggesting an uprev map no one really had a definitive solution...dont really want to remap so can anyone help...thanks in advance guys
  7. My 08 car has developed this annoying habit since going back on the road after winter...thought it just needed a good blast to clear it up but its still there on pulling away and light throttle in slow moving traffic/ lower gears...I realise this thread is pretty worn but has anyone came up with a definitive solution, remap aside?
  8. No, the brake pedal isn't affected, it's just a replacement accelerator pedal shaped better for bridging over...don't have the problem your talking about myself(I'm 5'11"though) ...guess you've already tried adjusting the steering/instrument rake?
  9. Finally scourced a 380rs pedal from nissan autosports in usa...great service, delivered in 10 days...cost 27 dollars50c and postage was 40 dollars...less than 44 quid at todays ex rate...didn't have a problem heel n toeing with original set up, but this makes it even easier, and looks cool in the bargain!...heel toe upshifts?!! Yeah right!... wackywill certainty lives up 2 his name lol
  10. Don't try the arse on seat, feet around headrest approach...I found that fkn impossible...just open the door wide n lie over the sill...did u try jamming a screwdriver in the u shaped bracket before loosening the locknut?...that's the easy part-turning the bolt a mm at a time's the real bastard!!!..after that u just drop the ecu to gain access to the cruise switch adjustment...good luck
  11. Carried out this mod today...obviously since you're only altering the pedal position, it doesn't make the clutch less of a hairtrigger on-off switch, but it does feel so much nicer to use...10/10 and thanks to op for a great guide to a must do mod!
  12. You won't regret it mate...good price!
  13. ....and they've transformed the car from a comfort point as well...zeds never gonna be a xj6, but the last owner left me with kumhos that were harder than my ex wifes heart lol
  14. I paid £520 for the goodyears in may...got them from lovetyres delivered in 2 days...mpss would've been £100+ more...tyreleader would've saved me another £20 quid or so, but hadn't heard of them when ordering...seem to remember the gy's lasting well on the golf, but can't compare that with rwd...jury's gonna have to be out on durability, but they tick every other box
  15. Think you're right mate...seems like certain tyres can be fashionable and the price goes up...incidentally, my girlfriend's astra gtc has conti sport 5's...1yr old and 9000 mls and they're on the limit!..maybe acceptable on a vxr, but not a 120 brake 1.4!!!
