I just disconnected this to take the drivers side valve cover out. Have not changed the ring though. Have people taken this apart and not out a new ring in? I had no problems before hand with fuel just needed the space to get the valve cover out. Also I didn't torque it, just hand tight as I don't have a torque wrench that's goes low enough. Is this ok? If not were can I get one which goes that low for a cheap price? Very poor at the moment haha That's what she 'Zed' :-/

They have 4 electrodes and was told these were better than the ones I pulled out and also showed to him. They are heat range 6 like the old ones. I'm running rich but was told remap will sort this out. Would it? Go on then, tell me how bad these plugs are and how I overpaid for them lol p.s. Thanks mate I showed them to a garage and they said replace straight away (they knew I wasn't buying from them so it wasn't to make money). I went to halfords and they typed in my Reg an recommended NKG but were expensive and not in stock. So I bought Bosch ones as they were £12 for a pack of 4 with my trade card. Only come in fours! Had to buy 2 packs! Cost me £25 roughly for all 8 I'll post a pic of the ones I bought in a moment. That's what she 'Zed' :-/

If that's the case then they would need changing in about 20k but I was thinking change them now due to the amount of oil that was on them?? That's what she 'Zed' :-/

Also don't rip into me as everyone has to learn before they know about something; There is a lot of oil inside the valve cover - normal yes?? Anyone done this before and know of any other pipes that can be removed for ease of access when installing the new one without any liquids coming out all over the place? This pipe is in the way... Oh right I thought u needed a ticket per person for entry (ie walking in) then if ur on a club stand u then need a club stand ticket (just 1 for the vehicle). Only thought this as thats what I was told when I called about tickets haha That's what she 'Zed' :-/

I've been shopping around online I think I might just change them to be on the safe side as they are a pain to do unless you have everything stripped like I do at the moment. On that note anyone got any other recommendations for plugs and where from. I've been looking online but there are soooo many options. Sorry for all the questions That's what she 'Zed' :-/

I've got the valve covers thanks mate just waiting for gaskets to arrive then I'll swap them out. Thought I would go for something a bit different too... Just wasn't sure how to clean out where the oil was pooled (bottom of cylinder 6) during replacing the covers. Thanks mate That's what she 'Zed' :-/

I've only taken 3 out so far but I'm unsure if they need changing or not. My valve cover is leaking oil and I'm in the process of changing both covers just awaiting spare parts. When I took the 3 out of the passengers side (2,4 & 6) maybe; a couple had a fair bit of oil on due to the leak so I thought they where going to be fairly worn in anyway. Here's the 3 They were changed 9 months ago roughly and the car is a 2003 350z with 101k on the clock. It's a daily drive too. I have the Haynes manual but still unsure of which one it looks like. Short on money so would rather not buy more if I don't 'need' to. So, Do they look like they need changing? If some need changing and others don't, can I change just a few or should they be done all at the same time? Thanks That's what she 'Zed' :-/

I went to halfords and bought some stuff called Gunk. Basically the same its for use on engines and they recommended it when I showed them a pic of the build up in there. Used a paint brush to apply, left it a while an got water on it. Then wiped clean. Looks a lot better on the inside buts it's a bit stained. Outside looks great tho. Going back a bit, when I took the spark plugs out, I had a lot of oil on one (as I knew u would). So much oil to the point it was dripping. Believe it or not I had no problems driving the car (apart from the smell of burning oil). I imagine this could be something to do with the build of of gunk??? I'm guessing before replacing my valve covers I need to dry out the cylinder full of oil somehow right?? How do I do this? Thanks again That's what she 'Zed' :-/
