  1. Hello mate, do you still have stock of these? If so pm me please I'll take a set. Thanks
  2. This may sound silly but I had them on my awd Evo 8 and they were fantastic, may be different on RWD though? I've read a few reviews and they generally get good write ups, hopefully someone may pop along and confirm
  3. Hello mate I live in Lincoln as well. I could of written the same description of your trip to work! 13 miles each way but mine involves the inclines in the middle of town. I will be purchasing some in the next week or so. Admittedly last year wasn't too bad for snow but I think I would of benefitted from winter tyres (I'm not heavy footed and drive to the conditions) but the roads around Lincoln can get quite greasy. You can pick up a set of Kumho kw27s for £495 fitted so in my opinion it's well worth it
  4. Hello Mikevv did you get this sorted out? If so which path did you follow? Cheers
  5. Massive thanks to Husky and all the other contributors for writing this great thread! Was seriously fed up with not being able to listen to cd's without serious skipping issues. Was going to replace the head unit but thought for £6 might give this a go. WOW the sound quality is amazing, no noise interference and more importantly no motor noise. I didn't cut through the tracks or remove the spring and clip. I found an old cassette and removed the insides and just have that in the tape player. Thanks again to everyone
  6. to the forum mate, great looking car! Now get yourself an rdx stubby aerial, got mine for £15 from Tarmac Sportz on here

  13. It is nuts mate! I'm glad that you saw post before going back, I hope other people see it as well. Picking it up at weekend. Had to part ex as didn't have time to sell privately, I'm sure we could of got a HR for that money but hey ho
  14. Hello mate yeah it was shocking! I can only guess that the two lads we spoke to told the salesman what I had said. Don't know what the hec was going on, My mate had guessed it mite have been in an un reported accident and then really shoddily repaired. Went for a 2006 300 gt facelift one in the end but not HR. It's the higher tax bracket but it's only got 40k on clock with 7 nissan stamps picking up sat. I'm glad I caught you before going back. Couldn't believe it when I followed your link and
  15. Please do not waste your time and take that blue car out from Synergy mate, the car is nothing like what it looks like in the ad!!!! The salesman assured me on the phone that it was immaculate lmao! Went last saturday with my mate who works in an accident repair centre, turned up and luckily for me the salesman had gone out on test drive so I could have a proper poke around. None of the panels are the same colour, the front bumper had not been re attached properly after a dodgy spray job. the rubber strips had not been removed when someone has sprayed the roof so it had a dodgy line of laquer about 1 cm in from the rubber strips. While I was there I spoke to 2 sub contracted body repair men and even they said the paint job was really bad. The only panel that looked original was the boot lid. Didn't even wait for him to get back as I was fuming as it was a wasted 100 mile round trip. You will also find one with a better service history (every 9k) Sorry for the long message but please do not waste your time, I wondered why it was priced about £800 less than others and I found out why. Good luck with the search, You will find one, I have now lol, Jim
  16. Took Some pictures today, I'm counting down the days
  17. I think the previous owner must have done a couple of launches before part ex it lol. Thanks for the welcomes I will miss the ayc and 4 wheel traction but looking forward to something different. The fq 320 and 340 are very similar. evo's are just money pits but blooming fun!
  18. Cheers, I've kept my Evo standard apart from a walbro fuel pump, brakes and a cheeky remap, but the clutch started to slip a month after buying it so replaced it and the flywheel for a lightweight one which cost close to £1500 lol. Don't think I'm going to miss the fact that if anything breaks it costs a small fortune to fix it. Really looking forward to owning the z and this forum already seems a lot more friendly than the 'other' evo forum
  19. Thanks very much for the welcomes. Will get some pics up as soon as I get it. Yeah I think I will miss the turbo but wont miss the 4500 mile services lol. Been quite lucky as I have one of the best evo speciaists on my door step. Lol going to try and keep the mods to minor (well that's what I'm telling the wife anyway ). Can't wait for the weekend to arrive. I'm going to be an active member of the forum so looking forward to contributing aswell as taking lots of advice.
