  1. I have a warning light showing which I can not find in the manual. It is a yellow one, and looks like a horse shoe with a flat slightly jagged bottom, and a warning exclamation mark inside. It is at the bottom of the cluster of lights that come on when the engine is started, and stays on when the rest go out.

    Any ideas ?

  2. Personally I would get a loan agreement drawn up by a Solicitor. They have standard ones so shouldn't cost much. I made a loan to a mate a few months ago, and the loan agreement went into pages. Belt and braces I imagine. You need to prove it is a loan, otherwise when the beneficiary dies the Revenue could deem it a gift, and it could be part of their estate for Inheritance Tax, as well as being not repayable to you. :scare:

I suppose it would also depend on amounts. if you are talking tens of thousands definitely get a solicitor. If you are talking the odd thousand you need to take into account the solicitors fees more.

When I made my loan, the beneficiary paid my solicitors fees.

  3. Get a Halfords all seasons car cover. They're not bad at all for the money. As long as the car is clean before you put it on they work well. :)

I have just bought one on your recommendation, and so far so good.

Can't wait for my new garage to be built though.

  4. thanks for the support everyone, to be fair to her its an awkward junction as the traffic coming from what would have been her left can't be seen too well as there's a bridge i think she was turning right and was too busy looking left and just didn't see me, couldn't get angry at her as what's done is done and she was clearly as upset as me, its in the hands of the insurance company (admiral) now, who have already confirmed that it's 100% her fault and will be providing me with a hire car as soon as possible at the other insurers expense as mine is not drivable :surrender:

Good attitude. Hope you are back on the road soon.
  5. Thanks for the info Sipar! What is the inner lining like on it? Soft?

Now I'm torn, a good review on the £50 halfords one, and £150 for the offical one! haha

Looking at the picture of the official one, I notice that it actually says 370z on it. Part of the reason for the cover is also to avoid unwanted attention (we've had a car stolen from the address the car will be sitting at previously).

    Hmmmm decisions!

    Cheers for the help guys!

I think the official one is an indoor cover.

I will be looking for a cover shortly when my garage is pulled down and rebuilt. Halfords one looks good for what I need.

  6. Saw my first 370, apart from mine, coming down Castle Hill into Fanham on Saturday. It looked lovely in dark grey (not good with official colour names !) We were off to the football at Reading, but as there were four of us not in the Z.

Match tomorrow night so might see a few more Z's going to the Jap Fest.

Often see a 350 parked in Arborfield on the way to a game, and another one around Fleet.

  7. So decided to wash the toys today as it was nice weather and I didnt really have anything else to do. Towards the end of me finishing up washing the Zed.. a polite 40 year old lady walking her dog said .. " you're really good to that motor .. " with the cheekiest smile on her face.

Really has cheered me up this evening.. and I must say it made her very attractive and must have shaved 10 years off just from saying that

Just wanted to share with you chaps and ladys :)

How do you know she was 40 ? ;)

My drive is a public footpath, so tend to get a lot of walkers stopping to chat. Trouble is I am a miserable old git, and wish they would jog on.
