  1. Wise words so far from everyone. Instruction is such a must so 100% book 1 or 2 sessions. Let the instructor know you are new to this as they will likely spend longer than the usual 20 minutes with you. I did Spa for the first time this year and ended up spending around 2 hours with the instructor which was a god send.

As for tyre gauges, make sure you spend money and get a good one as a lot of bad inaccurate ones out there. I found out recently at Combe that mine is crap but my Michelin foot pump is dead accurate. Turned out a lot of people's at Combe were the same and my foot pump become the most popular item :)

The brake comment is so important. After a run, do not touch that handbrake or sit with your foot on the brakes. You will coat your discs with brake pad and warp your discs. As said, cool down lap, into pits, stop car, engine off and leave car in second.

Check your oil throughout the day and take spare with you.

Check wheel nuts throughout the day.

Check tyre pressures. After a session, hot they should be pretty much at the manufacturers recommended levels or a little lower depending on track temp. So you will need them set lower when cold.

Enjoy it and remember to have fun.

  2. I live at the top of the Red Road, the Camberley end.

Do you ever go to the shops at Heatherside? If so, if you look at the house next to the school that is opposite the shops car park, there is a lovely black 350z with black wheels parked there. I see it most mornings and it sounds unbelievable. Probably nicest sounding Zed I've heard.

  3. Walked passed one at the work car park. I was like that's a really nice looking car, I wish I own one. It then dawn on me that is my own car.

I leave it in the car park and drive it once a week. Somehow today I totally forgotten that I own one.

    Haha that is brilliant :)

  4. Taking in to account that this is just a 2 series and not say an M2, you really can't fault the subtle looks as everything else about the car is spot on as already stated. Fast, four seats, nice interior and great sound. Pretty much ticks all the boxes if you were after a car of this type.

  5. Maybe anyone interested could all go out and buy a car for < £500, then book several forum only track days and create our own mini series? ;)

HAHAHA I love this idea :) I think we would need to either limit the engine size or run classes, regulate tyres (no slicks), have a max bhp and then we are good to go :)

  6. Linus if it was the Evo that has fallen through sadly. But luckily found a monster on a forum I used to be on & spoke to the chap & will be viewing & collecting this Saturday :)

I have someone coming from cornwall to see the car which is 5 hour from me so I think he is wanting to buy it because I cant imagine anyone doing a 10 hour trip to just look at a car

Kieran, it's Linus from the other forum. We spoke over the weekend about your new car. Beppe's????
