  1. Profile is decided by width. Many cars run different profiles front to back. Oh, I thought it was all done to keep the rolling radius around the same so it didn't throw the speedo out too much... Guess that shows what I know. It's just a percentage measurement of the width of the tyre. So a 275 / 35 / 19 tyre simply means the profile/sidewall is 35% of the width of the tyre. EDIT - Reading your post back again and then spotting someone else already answered you I'm not sure my post helped much if at all Oh well lol
  2. Stu can you send me a PM too please? Was just about to order when I remembered this thread.
  3. Dudley Buddy! It looked like Tesco carpark in Walsall but now you've added the other pics I know exactly where it is. I work out of Dudley occasionally so I'll keep my eyes peeled for you
  4. Welcome Sam. I'm in Walsall so can't be that far from.
  5. You're not from (or very near) Walsall by any chance are you?
  6. Sounds like I need to see it in person rather than try and play detective using a photo. Cheers for your help.
  7. Yeah good point. Are there any visual clues? What exactly are the differences? Something to do with iPod compatibility?!?
  8. Am I correct in thinking that the head unit changed in some way in 2010? I ask that as I've seen passing references to 2010 head units when compared to 2009 versions. When did the change take place? I doubt it was the stroke of midnight 2009 so would a car first registered in late March 2010 have a "new" head unit or the previous version?
  9. I'm by no means and expert, and don't pretend to be, but I've owned two identical Clio 172's in the past from new. One I followed the handbook advice and ran in the engine for 1000 miles. The other I got bored after 50 miles and drove it how I wanted. The second of the two always felt more willing if that makes sense. Of course it could all be placebo effect.
  10. You can pick my (limited) brains any time mate. In fact I was chairman of Cliosport.net for a few years before we went our separate ways. Looks like it! Replied in the other thread. I was thinking to myself at the time I wonder if this guy's on the forum!
  11. I obviously won't say what the plate was but I spotted it at about lunchtime (can't remember exactly but 12:30 - 1:30 something like that) going up Northway and turning left onto the Wolverhampton Road. Sounded awesome. If it was you then you would have passed two Openreach (BT) vans parked either side of Northway. I was in one of them.
  12. Jack has your roadster got a private plate on it? I was working in/nr Sedgley yesterday and followed a black 370Z Roadster for a while.
  13. Any chance of some vids from the inside?
  14. I've spoken to a seller regarding a 370Z I'm interested in and he's indicated it's due "the 30,000 mile service". Now I know you hate people asking questions that's been answered a hundred times before so I've tried to do my own homework concerning service intervals and the closest I've come is a list of service intervals (mileage and age) for the 350Z. Is the 370Z the same? Assuming it is then the car I'm looking at is due it's 36k/4 year "P3" service. Can anyone recommend a trustworthy and reliable independent in the Midlands to get his done? What's a reasonable price? TIA.
  15. Thanks for all the messages and the warm welcome! The Cup is going up for sale on Thursday and I'm hopefully off to look at a 370 on Friday.

  17. I've been lurking around the forum since the new year but it's time I came out the shadows and said hello! I'm James, 36 and from Walsall. For the last 11 years I've had a Clio 172 Cup which while fun isn't the last word in luxury or refinement. With boring stuff like mortgages, bills and a demanding job getting in the way my love of cars took a back seat and I ended up keeping the Cup far longer than I ever intended. However I've decided it's been long enough and the Clio will be making way for a 370Z in the next couple of weeks. I've taken a lot of inspirations and ideas from the forum and hope to get fully involved once I get a 370Z and hopefully attend meets and get to meet some of you in person. Catch you around the forum!
