A quick couple question to those that have changed theirs..
I'm looking at the stainless DC headers. Don't really want to consider the mild steel coated versions..
- what have people done about heat.. wrapped in heat tape? I heard that in itself can cause issues with causing weld cracking or is that pie in the sky?
- the engine will not be out.. I'm considering getting the garage to swap without looking at the clutch yet.. is this sensible or should I wait till they're doing the clutch for access etc..?
Many thanks.

Thanks Clark Motorsport! Xtreme clutch kit came yesterday Speedy delivery.
Reading the post above I'm even more eager than before to get it fitted
Fitted by Japex on Tuesday
Firstly, what a service! Worked late to finish the install and was even leant a motor to get home, after rolling up in a taxi, and wait while the work was completed. Unbelievable guys, if your in the area don't take your pride and joy anywhere else!
Now onto the kit... car has been transformed, still bedding in but the increase in drivability and response is immense. Highly recommended anyone to crack open their wallet for this setup!
Thanks Clark! Couldn't be happier, even though I got no Haribo
Beers..

i've stumbled across Z1 before, working on an exchange basis, although i'd guess you'd want to keep it local..

Pm sent
Ordered processed thanks, just one left now but we have more arriving in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks Ewen!
ZedMan..
Have you installed your Extreme SMF/clutch as yet..?
I'm keen to look at these but i sit in a lot of traffic so didn't want the chatter, however these are meant to be fairly mild in that department..
Seeing as you are only round the corner, would be ace to listen to your setup if at all poss..?
She's booked for the work at Japex on the 2nd June. Once its all in I'll happily meet so you can have listen and a drive
Nice one, let me know how the install goes and we'll sort out meeting for a cheeky half or something..

A massive thanks to Ed for looking after the Z.
I'd like to say that it was a pleasure to deal with you, I felt very confident leaving the car in your hands.
I cannot recommend Ed's services enough to anyone considering treating their Z.. it really is worth putting a little aside so she shines for summer..
I got the exhaust sorted too Ed (dodgy thin Invidia gaskets), so she is now looking and running shweet!

Could you advise on the best package/options for:
N/A daily driver
Stuck in traffic each morning
Don't want anything harder than OEM pedal feel (can live with mildy stiffer)
Do not want clutch chatter
Want to replace with as best possible performace to achieve this
Best possible ancillaries to go with above..

Big thanks to Ros, Stuart and the team.
Great service again..
Word to the wise, the gaskets supplied by Invidia aren't up to much..!

Fit one anyone has?
http://www.mishimoto...-catch-can.html
Has anyone actually installed one of these.
Seen many others but not one of these as yet, probably because of it's price tag..
Be interested to see any installed pics..
Me, fixed one I have.
Build thread you must look.. start from the end, I advise. Backwards you will find the glorious can of wonder.
[/yoda]
Or skip to page 5 for where I installed it, then buried in there (pages 8 and 15) is usage - works a treat, bronze filter stays clean, supercharger application, very happy bunny, me
Use the forum force Luke.
Bed late I went, reading your thread of build.
Read awesome it does..

Look in your airbox
If it has the trumpet as in the photo on the guide then you dont need this.
if it doesn't then you do
Yup fair do's.. I'll have a look when I collect from Ed tomorrow..

Am i right in saying the GT4 had a revised airbox does anyone know..
In other words this mod would be null..?

As everyone else has said the only way is to check with you insurers. Most these days have windscreen cover with an excess and is not classed as a claim. Your insurers will have an approved windscreen place that they will want you to use.
Shenley - where did you get the top rubber from - Nissan? I have a split in mine, screen is fine but this bit is bugging me, need to make enquiries to see if they can replace the top trim without taking the whole screen out, if not i'll have to wait till i get a big chip/crack..!
-
Not for me either I'm afraid.. but as everyone else has said, you're not doing it for us..

You boys are both up far too early.. or late.
I would bop Ewen @ Clarkmotorsport a pm Mark, he would let you know either way..

A lot of us get rid of the plate holder and stick flush to the bumper with some decent fixing tape for the smoother look, unless you are putting back to standard...?

Manifolds / headers..

I'm pretty sure that hourly figure would go up being a garage though.. although a known one on here..
Still want to head for the stainless route too not the mild steel coated, but haven't come across anyone fitting these as yet and how to deal with the heat (you loose the heat shield right?)..
