  1. Glad there's someone so close that's so well recommended! I'll send them a message on here and hopefully sort out a good time to pop over. Cheers guys, much appreciated.
  2. Had a few problems with the zed recently and I'm probably going to have to put it in at a garage. Rather than get fleeced or have a mechanic that hasn't really touched a zed before, I was wondering if someone could recommend a nissan specialist near Derby? Cheers in advance peeps!
  3. I'm looking for a reader that will communicate through the OBDII with the torque app and show intake temps etc. Will any of the bluetooth readers do that on a JDM z?
  4. Okay, may need a bit more help now. It appears the stutter hasn't gone away now so the symptoms have changed slightly. No fault codes shown from my friends obd reader, but it was struggling to connect. The car doesn't stutter on the initial 30 seconds from a cold start but is really apparent until ten minutes of driving has passed and the car is properly warmed up. Doesn't seem to be a misfire as the engine still sounds pretty smooth. However the revs rise to 2k rpm then there is a slight interruption and they drop slightly. When it does this you can hear a slight click under the bonnet possibly a solenoid or something. I have already changed the oil, spark plugs and also bought a coil pack which I swapped around all the cylinders in the hope a pack was beginning to fail. I also cleaned the throttle body and maf sensor. Any experts on here that can shed any light on this or anybody whose had the same problem? Don't want to spend silly money changing everything when its probably just a sensor. Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  5. If I'm honest I've only had my zed just over a month and I haven't considered it yet. Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  6. Quick update, cleaning the throttle body didn't work. So changed the plugs today and they were knackered. Plug gap was massive and the electrodes were really deteriorated. Despite apparently being serviced On the bright side stuttering has finally gone and she's a pleasure to drive again. Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  7. It had been in the shed for a few years which also may not have helped Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  8. I used dodo juice tropical mist with what I think was cleanyourcar.co.uk's own brand clay bay. Which turned it into yellow chewing gum and took some cleaning off Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  9. Lovely car mate, I had Silverstone silver one a couple of years ago and loved it. Probably one of the best sounding 4pots! Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  10. The best I've used so far in my opinion was dodo juice supernatural med clay with their born slippy clay lube. Accidently for clay lube confused with quick detailer once which turned a clay bay into a ball of stick mush. So watch out for that Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  11. I've got one on my zed and think its a great piece of kit. Good quality with a more subtle sporty sound. Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah, it was the easy option this Sunday afternoon because I had a can of carb cleaner in the boot. Fingers crossed its a cheap fix! Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  13. Yup that doesn't work, onto spark plugs and stuff. Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  14. Yeah to be fair neither did I until I saw it for sale then Googled it Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  15. Quick update on this, gave the front face of the throttle body and maf sensor a clean which seemed to reduce the stuttering. Next step is to remove the throttle body and clean it properly. I'll let everyone know if that sorts it. Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  16. Just a few more pics after a bit of wax and polish. Unfortunately the light is fading so the pictures aren't amazing. Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
  17. Cheers, everyone. This seems to be quite a friendly forum.
  18. Yeah, I'd imagine there are a fair few Interlagos Fire cars over your neck of the woods!
  19. Awesomes! soon as I get a bit of spare time I'll let everyone know how I get on.
  20. I have some carb cleaner, is that suitable for cleaning the MAF sensor?
  21. Yeah, I think so. I've done a fair bit of digging and only found the one I now own and another that belonged to a member on here.
  22. Yeah, the next cheap fixes on the list are to swap the plugs, clean the throttle body and then change the fuel filter. Fingers crossed one of the above should do the trick.
  23. This is a JDM Fairlady Z type G, I think the colour is called premium mystic maroon I believe but in the states they had this colour but called Interlagos Fire.
  24. Recently purchased my zed which is an 06 JDM import. Didn't notice it on the test drive but when the car is cold the rev counter is stuttering/jumping around when cold which makes the car pretty jerky and annoying to drive until it warms up. It only seems to happen around the 2k/rpm point. Don't suppose anybody else has had a similar problem, also if so how did you rectify it? Changed the oil this weekend but it had no effect. Cheers in advance, Jay.
