  2. When TG let Clarkson go, between that time and The Gran Tour/Chris Evans TG the vacuum was filled by YT car reviews like Chris Harris on Cars, Carfection Shmee150, Seen Through Glass etc as YouTubers had access to new cars and uploaded the reviews almost in real time. TG new or old was never able to do this, as it's shot months in advance therefore not being able to keep up with new car releases. While this had always been the case, the public at large weren't aware of this time delay that was later manifest.

The writing was on the wall

I too always thought it's the same stuff just different bottle.

Until I saw the side by side differences in beading from 21:00 on here

Lovely comparison vid, do like FD uploads. Fair to say these products are excellent at any price point and John confirms this at the end. Called this years back seeing real R&D money going into products like AG Magma, HD wax and tyre gel along with the TW Hybrid range.

I too thought it's was just a renaming of the same product, however could tell straight away from the way the early product would dry up water with a flush mf.

Never seen this vid before, nice one

I know they are VERY similar but definitely DIFFERENT.

Seal n Shine formulation in UK is even different to Seal n Shine US according to John at Forensic Detailing.

It's kinda like ordering Coke Zero and getting a delivery of Diet Coke, or Pepsi Max and Diet Pepsi.

I know it's similar, but it's not what was described

Yeah I've heard that the US products are ever so slightly different too. Nice analogy on the he soft drinks 👌

    See you tomorrow matey 😁

Guessing the cat brace needs to stay on for cobra hfc's? Heard they'll crack with out it, Is that right? I know people who run art pipes don't need them, but i would imagine it's different with Hfc's?

The cobra HFC have the mount allowing you to retain the oe cat brace. You don't need them so much with decats or art pipes as these are much lighter than cats/hfc's.

What I love about the 370Z is that the engine actually feels torquey for a naturally aspirated engine, whereas I always thought that the E92 M3 felt like it was lacking in torque in comparison for some odd reason though.

Also max torque figure is literally no indication of how a car feels, especially in the lower rpm as the Z torque comes in strong low down.

Maybe back in the day the manuals felt more torquey than the lazier torque converter autos. DCT however was a different beast. BMW dropped it probably due to costs. ZF does a good job anyway.

A weekend blaster for the pennines and peak district, manual. As you start to cramp up it's already 4pm and dark. It's convenient.

Regarding the newer M4 and harsher ride. It seems manufacturers are not tuning cars to be driven on British roads. Back in the day even Renault got it right with sport clio. Sport suspension was very good. Very compliant.

Since used car prices are headed downwards in winter. Now is good time to pick something up. Best time to buy a used car price wise. Waiting till new year everyone thinks summers coming.

Plus dual clutch transmissions are heavy compared with conventional manual, but as bhp figures grew the penalty for the extra wright wasn't as great.

Agreed. Don't get me wrong I love a 3 pedal manual, and both my 370Z and Caterham 7 are manuals. However the S65 V8 engine in the E9x M3 really benefits from the DCT I think as you say.

DCT gearbox is boss, any daul clutch is mega especially on a daily. Whereas a high revving engine with the bulk of the power being at the top would make a manual gearbox hard work I'd imagine day to day. With a DCT you'll always be in the right gear for the amount of throttle input, rpm and road speed. Do love the Z however as it's so lazy you can literally leave it in 4th a doddle around town from 20mph to the speed limit no drama.

  10. I do have a problem 😭😭

I don't feel Seal n Shine the same/as good as their previous Hybrid Sealant Hydrophobic Wax. Crap name but it was an absolute beast in managing water.

I bought a couple bottles of ceramic spray coating (completes the trio), interested in the mango 🥭 scented aroma 😄

I have had 3 205 1.9's, that was my first and those wheels came with car. Those wheels are Fondmental's which were 195's and were much lighter than the originals. My latter 205's i kept the originals. But then it was not uncommon to have mismatched originals over time as Peugeot had three different factories making wheels. The first batch had: 'Italy' written on them which were the best and lightest, then it was: 'France' and 'Belgium' to cut costs. They looked the same, but to a trained eye some could tell the difference.

Never heard of them, must be rare. I remember the big names from the days Team Dynamics, OZ, Compomotive, Speedline.

Cost cutting makes sense for any manufacturer I guess.

Bargain buy for someone with an early Peugeot or Citroen then, being such a lightweight cast wheel.
