  1. .... Love my Zed, don't miss my M5 anymore!

  2. Corrections for you!!! - Shared my Zed issue as this is a Zed forum right! - Get suggestions and testimonies??... yes I emailed bs and no reply so had to actually go down there. Other places contacted me this morning. - Yes does not like price as most expensive I was given, its a buyers market so I can choose, - Finds another garage which was recommended via the the forum, as theres this brilliant tool called forum search and I believe there is a 'paint & protection' section( oh yes were in it right now) that people can review and read previous posts by people who asked for recommenations also.... Which is what I have been doing since yesterday! So get your facts straight before talking rubbish. As if you read my original post I was asking more about the paint issue and how this happened... as never had it before! Then I mentioned a sprayer later. Thanks mate...
  3. Cheers for message. I ended up getting a resonated cobra system... thanks though,
  4. I went down there and was quoted 2-3 days to do the work and £200+vat to spray the boot, to be honest thats expensive so found another garage, so dropping my car off tomorrow and should be done by next morning.
  5. I been waiting for more than two weeks for one. None were in stock and would be a week or so before he had any more. But i am still waiting another week on from that.. As they look brilliant... so a waiting game...
  6. I was thinking of telling people the paint removal means the car is a Nurburgring special edition.. :) Kinda looks like a similar shape...
  7. They are a trader on here so any discounts offered for Zed owners on the forum? Anyone had any work done with them..
  8. how did those roadsters boot have an issue with the paint?? As mines has also gotten chips to the lower lip before when i have had to use touch up paint to sort. did not know it was a common problem. wish i knew before i attempted to change badge now
  9. Are they a bodyshop?? They sure are. Okay any contact details or address for them... As so pi**ed don't even wanna look at my car right now...
  10. Someone has already taken off the fairlady Z badging so guess the boot has been just sprayed a base coat... Just worried about the rest of the car as I have a small chip to the osr panel and thinking will that start flaking or whatever down the line. If thats how the Zed is sprayed from new then jeez, not impressed at all! Just need a find a sprayer in west london, hope its not too expensive... I budgeting about £200 but still one bloody expensive badge change.
  11. Ok guys... I decided to change the 'Nissan badges' from the front and rear of my roadster. Researched the way, so had my old credit card, extension cable and mrs hair dryer to heat the area etc.. Front one came off perfect and changed within i would say 10mins, the rear one............. I used masking tape around the area just outside the emblem as the new i wanted to be cm perfect.. As I used the credit card sawing through the old glue and peeled the emblem off, a tiny area of paint came off... annoyed but no problem the new emblem will cover it anyway, decided to remove masking tape to the left to put the emblem and this happened... massive area of paint under masking tape came completely off. Like nothing!!!! I am so pi**ed you would not believe as now ha e to get the damn boot resprayed.... How the heck can the paint be so delicate... must have been sprayed previously as the boot area below paint is black, no sign of primer or layers or nothing.... No idea the cost to respray yet... but i have worked on cars for years and never had something like this happen! Pics below of new badge type and the rear boot after the 'issue'....
  12. Nels0n.... 41k engine available: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/87886-53-nissan-350z-gt-breaking-spares-with-20-khans/ Maybe contact 'Shades Rs'.... Decent price for an engine to be honest, plus he is from the forum so 'hopefully' respectable...
  13. Exactly its okay for Comrade to run off sections of blah blah that do nothing to help or assist in someone obviously taking the mick and going as far as stealing money from a person which is what this guy did as he gained from being dishonest and sold a dud. But thousands of pounds are is not easy to let go of in this day and age, so the waft of sections this, section that to be honest is just noise... as people get away with all this becuase of they are protected by the same sections you mention!. Comrade please look into that book and find something that actually helps the situation... Anyway........Nels0n. my example was awhile ago (hence owning a vw corrado). I did not know about the warning light etc. so you should have walked away as there are so many Zeds out there. I think learning from experience and sourcing a engine from a forum member who is breaking one or similar may be the best bet. Life is a learning curve sometimes.
  14. If you're only getting £75 of petrol in your car from empty your fuel sender needs sorted I think his is an import and believe they have smaller tanks If it's a 60L tank, then fair enough I think i've read that before about imports, but it was a good while ago. Yes mine is a JDM import. So smaller tank I believe.
  15. Mines has began to drink more since I put induction kit and resonated cobra system.... drinks more i'd but sounds a whole lot better. But i have seen people above saying they put £90 in their car I have put £75 max so guess my import has a smaller fuel tank.
  16. Off topic but.... Are those jade r alloys I see on you roadster... nearly identical to me! Yes 20" so exactly like yours, but mines has stretch tyres all around and 10mm spacers to the rear. Like the alloys but have scuffed them to hell already...
  17. Between 20-24 mpg (Depending how I drive it) Around £75 from empty 240-260 to a tank (I barely touch a dual carriageway or motorway as in london)
  18. Nels0n, You honestly think a guy who went so far to conceal such a problem will respond to 'reasonable approach' he is most likely happy he has got away with it. Its simple just get some people and go right back, i dunno how far you drove the car to get home but best to give the sod the car back and take your cash. Simple as really, otherwise you will just need to buy an engine and an engine for the zed is not cheap!! also fitting a second hand engine can be a lottery as well....only way to BE SURE the engine is 100% is to get rebuilt and use the correct oil, service it regular from the off... but again expensive. So ball is in your court mate. Not saying to kill the guy but be persuasive... and the guys will you will help with that!
  19. That’s bottom end for sure. Mate honestly i remember buying a vw corrado my first car and driving it home it made the same noise. I bought the car from Bournemouth and stopped at a petrol station as it was getting louder on drive home. A guy in a lorry jumped out at me screaming 'shut the engine off!!! Before it blows a rod through the block!!' The lorry driver checked it and asked was the car noisy when i bought it... i said no. He said it was an old trick of putting banana peel in the engine to gunk up the bearings long enough to be silent for the test drive.. In all honestly i called a bunch of mates and family and went back to guy’s house. Threatened to whoop his ass right there and then if i did not get money back. Brother punched him and after he got off the ground he gave my money back and petrol money for taking the ****. As sold as seen receipt to me meant nothing if your pulling a fast one selling a car with obvious problem. Either go back and sort it or lump it and pay for new engine or bottom end rebuild... both will be expensive.
  20. Ok will have to look into trying to repair... I have tried to check if lowering I can pinch hole closed to glue but the good crease right in that spot.. so no way to do so and restricted access to rear maybe just enough to patch so no water gets in and will cosmetic fix the outside. Just worried about how crap it will look on the outside... I read somewhere about stormsure...
  21. So I have been ill for abot tfour weeks and not even driven my Zed. My brother had borrowed it few weeks ago and must have put the roof down.. Just went outside and noticed a tear in the roof!! I hope to god this can be patched.. as I know new roofs are bloody expensive!!!! ie £1000+ for a decent one... Not large but I am guessing will only get worse and worse if I take roof down... must be a stressed area... Any advise on wat I can do about this??? As unsure if water will leak in and case any issues,,, Pics below:
  22. These could be of use for someone.... £40 . http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3f411e1f86
