Is this common, and something that the local dealer will be able to solve? The car has a full Nissan cared for warranty but I don't want to hand it over for them to spend ages trying to sort..

Its definitely not a rubbery smell, its very like burned oil fumes.

Its done 25k and has an aftermarket system, checked at every joint for a leak and pressure tested and not a hint of escaping gasses.

Hello all, Its been a little over a month that I have had my car and I have one very slight niggle about it. Whenever the car has been driven with some enthusiasm it has a strong smell of oil fumes or exhaust fumes when it comes to a stop. I have checked the exhaust system and its definitely not leaking and wonder if anyone else has had the same symptoms?? Cheers Nigel

I cant imagine that the 370Z is a worse car than the 350Z?? Every review I read before getting mine just said that they were much better that the 350Z, why would Nissan release a newer car that did not show progress... Rich, as you know, I have owned lots, and lots of very high performance cars and the 370Z is great. Its a big car, has @*!# boot space, mediocre fuel economy, an awesome engine that just pulls and pulls Mine has been played with and is probably as it should have left the factory save for some sticky rubber, but that will be sorted in the summer. I am more than happy with mine

No idea as I have only had the 370, but I did see mid 30's on the run back from picking it up. Way better than the R34

What did you manage Mark? Mine was modified by the previous owner and has de-cats, a power-flow system, K&N Typhoon and when UpRevd at TDI North made 360 if that sounds feasible? Nigel
