I did the same on my 350, got a new knob from a trader on here, removal was exactly the same, it looked great and felt great too.

Unfortunately, I had it engraved with 350z so it stayed, but will definately be changing this one.

You shul get in the habit of always using the credit card, even if it's just for a deposit, letters from credit card companies will always carry more weight than from you.

You can also tackle them from two fronts simultaneously, most companies will back down fairly quickly when faced with this.

Just watch out cos zeditis is rife among Cougar Store customers !

Totally agree with Ekona, this is your only sensible action.

I would immediately phone your credit card company, they will send out some forms to start a claim through them, they are equally liable (always seems unfair on them but that's the rule) despite you only paying some of the money on card you can claim the full amount, it is then their responsibility to re coupe the money from the trader, this is a slow process but I can assure you it does works.

Remember, there are plenty of Z's out there.

I think they are assuming the other party might claim, as said, he apparently has nine months to decide to claim so the insurers are keeping this open, I guess the op has not protected ncb which is why it is taken back to 1 year pending a potential claim.

This sucks but see it from the insurers point of view, they have apparently said they would refund premium if no claim is made (at least that's how I read it)

In the short term, having the correct amount of oil must be far more important than anything, but I agree with others, if you arn't sure of the history get a mini service asap, just bought my latest car with full history and service stamped 1,500 miles ago- first thing I did was oil and filter change.
