Not seen a blue one in Plymouth, scruffy or otherwise! Seen the ginger convertible again a couple of times as well as a ginger hard top recently.
-
Haven't seen another Zed in Plymouth for ages then spotted two at once. Was following a ginger convertible towards Derriford roundabout when a silver convertible passed in the other direction
Found the ginger again at the weekend parked in the far corner of Tesco Roborough which I parked next to with the obligatory space in between Wondering if it is a new owner or new to Plymouth as never seen it around before and now spotted twice in one week!

Wonder if that was my old Zed. Sold my 54 plate in blade silver to someone from the Exmouth area last year.

from another Plymouth owner. Echo what Zedz has said although better than it was. When I bought my first Zed 5 years ago the nearest listed for sale was Bristol and ended up going to London so I could look at a few all in one day. One I've got at the moment I bought from another forum member from Andover. Are a few more Zeds in Plymouth and surround area now than 5 years ago.

Anywhere the wrong side of Dartmoor is enough to give anyone a nosebleed! Or, if you want to be scientific and go on population density, apparently the North/South divide is now Snarestone, Leicester. North/South divide Article

Winds me up no end when work colleagues start interrogating me about how I can afford to run my car (and I mean proper Spanish inquisition level interrogation!) yet I spend less on petrol than they spend on a night out every weekend. Some people like to spend their money on nights out, some on foreign holidays every year, I like to spend mine on my car. Apparently that is worthy of questioning where as if you go on expensive holidays every year that is fine and worthy of conversation

Is there a deadline for submitting photos? Now that grockels won't be clogging up the beauty spots I might try and get my Zed onto Dartmoor early next week if we get some sunshine

Welcome to the forum and good look with the Zed hunt. Been almost 5 years since I picked up my first Zed and still remember the excitement of picking it up!
Insurance wise, my first Zed I had insured with Elephant at a very reasonable price. They weren't bothered about me putting an after market air intake and exhaust unless I got the engine re-mapped as well. My current Zed, which has a lot more modifications they wouldn't insure me on so changed over to Adrian Flux.

Having fitted one on my car I would echo what Dave has said. The chatter from the flywheel is quite noticeable in the low revs so not ideal when your sat idling at traffic lights and commuting low speed around town.

Thanks for introducing this game to my life, not like I needed to sleep anyway

Thanks for another great day. Booked on to the course after doing the performance driving day and having problems trying to control the Zed's over steer so surprised but delighted with the prize as 'drifting god'. Whilst I might look dashing in my forum tee shirt in the photo credit should probably really go to Paul for his excellent tuition and the Zed for being such a good car once the driver wasn't letting it down!
Anyone wondering or not whether to splash out on a day with CAT driver training I'd definitely recommend it!
-
Looking forward to it, if it's anything like the performance driving day it should be great fun and given my car seemed quite happy to over steer during the stint we did on the skid pan then this day should be more than beneficial

On a more serious note would the police get involved? I'm sure a word from them would have more weight than asking them not to park himself
Or is it easy enough to put a cheap gate up?
Id probably start with a polite but firm note asking them not to park there or the police will be notified
Police wouldn't get involved as they would have no powers to deal with it. Unfortunately for the OP it is a civil matter. Police only have powers to deal when access to the highway is blocked (ie you are parked on your drive and someone blocks you in).
https://www.askthe.police.uk/content/Q441.htm I would suggest reading this link before taking any action. If you move the vehicle you can find yourself liable for any damage caused plus possibly other criminal offences including taking a MV without the owner's consent. As a civil matter there are a number of steps/hoops you have to jump through before you can move it, by which time, unless it's an abandoned vehicle it will have likely have gone anyway.
You could always hope the owner isn't clued up on the law and leave a note politely saying if it continues you will report it to the police and have them recover the vehicle at the owner's cost. Stopped the issue with someone that recently took to parking their car across my garage.

Can we sue Nissan for not providing adequate health warnings about Zeditis? Think it has cost most of us a lot more than $75 for a pair of sunglasses

If hers is covered in scratches, ask her which one you did. To roll back into someone you'd certainly notice it, unless she was parked under your bumper, in which case its her fault anyway.
Exactly, if she stopped a sensible distance behind you, you would have had to roll far enough back to hit her that you would have noticed. I was taught to stop far enough away from the car in front that you could still see their tyres. Not just to stop the car in front rolling back into you if its a s### driver but also to give you the space to pull out around it should it suffer from a mechanical failure ect.

Also, for those with imports or after market bumpers, what are the chances of a square plate?

Looking like a landslide for the Silhouette at the moment Could be interested in a set if it goes ahead.

Echoing what others have said, this is by far the best investment I've made in my Zed. For those wondering if £400 is a lot of money to spend (I did when I took the plunge and signed up!) it really is a bargain. If you look at it compared to what we spend modifying our cars it's peanuts really and will do far more to bring your lap times down by making you a faster (& safer) driver then by getting a couple of extra BHP by fitting de-cats and getting a re-map.
I thought I loved the Zed before the day but am even more smitten now having had a chance to learn what it's actually capable of.
Our course also offered the added bonus of getting to see and hear Wasso's car! That noise Have a sneaking suspicion that Alfa's annoyance with us looking at braking on the mile straight wasn't actually that we were delaying them but the fact that Wasso's car was making the Giulia Quadrifoglios they were trying to sell sound embarrassingly quiet and boring

Looks like an awesome trip. Managed to get the whole of June off next year and hoping to do a similar trip. My plan at the moment is through the Swiss and Austrian Alps and then on to Romania to drive the Transfăgărășan highway before returning home via Germany to do the Autobahn and visit the Ring. Just need to keep my fingers crossed the Government don't fudge Brexit up to badly between now and then, the £ has already dropped enough as it is!
