  1. For sale is my 2003 Nissan 350Z GT. I want to offer it to forum members first before offering it for sale elsewhere. I have owned this car since early 2015 when I purchased it from a friend. At the time he had bought it from a car dealer who had recently sold the car but ended up buying it back from the customer he sold it too as the engine started to use a lot of oil. As you may know this can be a common problem with the DE engines.

My intension was to replace the engine with a good low mileage unit as we were regularly breaking 350Z’s. As time has gone on I simply do not have the time to do this and I know that if I do I’ll end up keeping it. At the moment I have a number of other projects that need my commitment as well as a business to run.

So I have decided to offer the car for sale as it is. It’s a great example and has clearly been looked after in its life. It has a full stamped service history up until August 2014 at 104,618 miles. It’s now on 110,118 miles.

It’s the full GT spec with all the options including sat nav. It has an HKS exhaust which gives a nice subtle increase in noise and also the later OEM Nissan LED rear tail lights. Other than that it’s completely standard.

The body work is really in very good condition for its age, the pictures are after a quick wash, if it was detailed and polished it really would be one of the best I’ve come across. There is a small rust blister appearing on the passenger side rear arch but caught now would be fixable. There are two very minor scuffs on the bumpers and that’s about it, no dents as far as I can see both sides are very straight.

The Rays alloys are in very good condition with only some minor scuffs, all wearing Bridgestone tyres with plenty of life left in them. The Brembo calipers are all very presentable and the discs/pads have good life left in them. The interior is also very clean with OEM floor mats, very minor wear to the drivers bolster. It has a brand new genuine gear knob fitted. Everything works as it should.

It has no MOT and is currently on SORN, it would need very little to pass an MOT I’m sure and other than the oil consumption issue has no other known issues. Obviously the engine will require either a rebuild or a replacement engine. Comes with the complete book back and stamped service book, I have the V5 still in my friends name ready to sign over to the new owner.

I have a new Xtreme organic clutch and single mass lightweight flywheel kit to go with the car, this is worth £800. I intended to fit one of these kits as the car is still on the OEM dual mass and although working will no doubt be getting tired now.

I want £3000 which includes the Xtreme clutch, I would let it go for £2800 if I replaced the rear lamps with standard early spec lamps. The price is not negotiable if it does not sell I will just keep it. A good low mileage DE engine is available with separate negotiation. The car is in Aberdeen, I can arrange very competitive transport to anywhere in the UK. We are 10 minutes from Aberdeenairport and collect a buyer no problem.

Just been reading through this thread, and I am planning on taking my 350 on the track for the first time however I won't be doing it on standard discs or pads as I find the brakes terrible and will fade within two laps,

I'm looking at upgrading to the ferodo DS1.11 pads front and rear, however undecided with discs.

Quite interested in these M-Tec discs and someone mentioned a forum discount which would sway my opinion ;) how would I go about this discount as i cant find it on the forum ...

I can supply the DS1.11 pads for a good price, have you considered the DBA T2 or T3 discs?

  3. You can get all 4 as dimpled, grooved or cross drilled for 369 quid before forum discount, from MTEC. I see no reason whatsoeever to pay after market prices for a solid disc of metal.

    http://www.mtecbrake...0-03-01-10.html

That's like saying all tyres are the same because they are all made of rubber, the quality of the cast iron used is the main factor in what determines a good quality disc.

The Brembo discs that ECP sell are good for general road use, we can supply these with the Hawk HPS pads and can normally beat the ECP price for the discs.

We can currently supply the Hawk HPS pads for £85 for the front set.

  4. Its worth pointing out the Mishimottos are a lot louder than the OEM fans. I'd try and find someone local who has them and give them a listen. Ruins the idle sound IMO. If I was in the same situation I'd buy OEM.

I have the mishimottos and can't fault the cooling, but would recondition the OEM ones first. Usually all thats wrong is carbon has built up on the contacts.

thank you for the heads up, I'm on a mega tight deadline and they car only gets used roughly once a month so not overly bothered by how loud it can be :)

Thanks for the order its on its way to you :)

  5. We sold a good few sets of the Tein Street Basis now and the feedback has been very positive, if you are just looking for a replacement set of dampers to replace tired OEM dampers these represent really good value.

The fact that they are manufactured by Tein means they are a quality product.

  6. Guys can I pick someones brains please....one of my friends has his 350z 04 plate auto in my garage today for diff and transmission fluid changes, the factors we use dont stock anything for this car and even Nissan dealers, who are always helpful with my own 350z, dont appear to be able to give us any advice? Is there anyone who can tell me what oil we should be using to change his diff and transmission fluids please? Obviously we dont want to use the incorrect stuff!!! :scare:

Is the rear diff VLSD or non VLSD? If its non VLSD then it just takes a standard 80W 90 oil, if its VLSD then the Nissan oil we sell or equivalent is what you need.

For the auto box you need the Nissan AT-Matic J Fluid which is £18 a liter, for a complete change you need 11 liters.

  7. Why does the SMF result in extra noise at idle and low rpm, over the more complex DMF?

The dual mass flywheel is designed to dampen the extra noise so removing that is why you do get an increase. The Xtreme kits flywheel is optimised for weight to try and minimise this noise.

The overall benefits far outweigh the noise :)

  8. Just a question, do you lose any noticable torque with this kit? Are there any issues if your zed is uprevved?

No the flywheel is not an ultra light weight one but a lot lighter than the heavy dual mass that's on the car, no issues if its uprev mapped we have this kit running successfully on a few boosted Zeds as well.

  9. We have been having a warehouse clear out at CMS, we have one set of the fantastic HKS RS coilover kit for the 350Z.

I have used these on a 350Z in the past and found them to be extremely compliant for road use while still vastly improving the overall handling.

We can do these for £780 delivered to the UK Mainland, there are some very minor marks on them but these are brand new and have never been fitted, the box has seen better days so they will be repackaged.

If you need anymore information please get in touch.

First come first served, why buy Chinese when you can buy Japanese!
