  1. Hi guys!

8 months past since I refurbished my Alezan leather seats.Used some company(not a forum member) and was happy at first but now colour lost it shade and seats looking not the way I want them to look!

This time I decided to do a repair myself ,but need to know top quality products I can use ,where to buy etc...Also is there any code for 350z alezan leather? I want to make sure I colour match it perfectly!

I am just after getting my Alezan leather seats refurbished as well. Really pleased with the final result. The person who did mine sent a small sample of my leather to Jackie at Buffalo Leather ( a recommended trader on this forum ) and she made up the colour. Buffalo Leather used to keep the colour in stock but not any longer. If I'm being picky the colour is very slightly out ( in comparison to steering wheel and handbrake ) but the seats and gear stick are now as good as new so I'm not bothered ( if it did I would just get steering wheel and handbrake done as well) Original is ever so slightly darker but this could be due to age etc. Hope this helps.

  2. You need a T20 wedge fit red LED bulb, Richard. Have a look on eBay, there are plenty about ranging from a few quid to £30 a pair.

Cheers Kyle. Would I need a higher wattage than the standard bulb ( being a led ) wattage?
  3. Regards the inaccurate fuel gauge reading Adam, if you search under 350Z forum-350Z faq-guides there is a thread titled "How to- fix the inaccurate fuel gauge" which provides a step by step guide to cleaning the 2 fuel senders. Sorry I can't post up a direct link. Never found out how to do it on an iPad yet.

Done it for you Rich. ;)

  5. When you press the boot release button the boot should pop open an inch or two allowing you to then open it up using your hand with the boot struts then taking over from you and lifting the boot up the remaining way & holding it open.

If the boot lid is dropping & not able to stay up then you need new boot struts (could try removing the boot weight first though to see if that helps cure the problem).

If when you press the boot release button the boot does not pop up high enough & you have to press the boot release again then you need to either do the "penny trick" or replace the boot poppers for new ones.

    Hope that helps.

    +1 Very well explained.
  6. There was a group buy set up last year. I think Flex and cs2000 were involved. Sgs were only prepared to give a modest 10% discount for 10 or more buys. From what I can remember the whole process was nothing but bother from start to finish. All the issues were from SGs's end ( you can also see issues from previous comments in this thread). Think you would be better just ordering what you want yourself.

  7. I've got some new silenced Decats in stock

    £120 standard

    £135 with CEL Eliminators

What is a CEL Eliminator ? Strange as my requirments may be, if it further suppresses rasp, I may be interested Thanks Tarmac

Think it refers to no engine management/warning lights coming on.
  8. If your removing the in tank units ensure the tank is less than half full & that you do not spill fuel on the o-rings.

Thanks for that advice. Just filled the tank a few weeks ago with the petrol being cheap. Will have to wait a few weeks then.
  9. Are you taking fuel amount or fuel pressure? fuel pressure is not held for more than a minute or two after switching off the engine.

Just fuel pressure. Fuel gauge reading very inaccurate so I was planning on carrying out the forum guide which involves removing the 2 sender units from the fuel tank. Am I right in saying that if the car has been sitting idle for a while there should be no pressure on the tank? Perhaps taking off the fuel cap would also release any pressure in the tank.
  10. I am thinking of doing the "inaccurate fuel gauge reading" fix while my seats are away being refurbished. I wanted to know if the fuel system would still be pressurised after the car being sitting idle for 2-3 weeks. I'd remove the fuel pump fuse ( does anyone know which fuse box it's in ). I don't want the bother of resetting air bag lights for the seats if I turn the engine over to release the pressure. Thank for reading.

  11. Im after an OEM Nissan 08-09 HR bonnet,

Anybody have one? paint doesent matter since its beeing respraid.

Need it shipped to Denmark so you need to be able to pack it down safely for shipping!

Did u try pricing a new one from your local Nissan dealership? In the UK I think they are around the £300 pound mark which is very reasonable.
