Mornin!
I'll post this in here rather than clog up the new event for the 2nd August.
I'm coming along with a mate that details cars, thought it would be a good opportunity for everyone involved, so I've had a word and he's happy to offer advice etc- if anyone wants any of course!
If anyone is looking to have their car detailed hes offered a discount to anyone at the meet. Just discuss it with him on the 2nd.
Looking forward to meeting everyone seen some nice looking Zeds around the area.
Cheers
Matt
This is handy; I've got a mark on the roof of my car from a melted plastic bag that I can't shift that it'd be nice to get his opinion on.

I haven't been to say hi since Japfest, so it'd be good to come along again 2nd August works well for me, too.

I just used a t145/80r/18 every thing fits fine
Is that on the 370z wheel? Have you tried it on the car & do you have 19" or 18" standard (does that even make a difference? They specify different tyre sizes so I guess so...)
ive got the spare wheel and foam for a 370z boot for sale
its whats pictured above the white 370z
Thanks buddy, I'm considering it, but mindful of the cost of needing to buy the spacer too with the 350z spare (assuming that's what it is?)
-
I'm having a rather frustrating time sourcing a spare wheel/tyre for my 370Z (with 19" alloys).
Getting the spare wheel is easy. But getting a T145/70R18 tyre is impossible (as another thread has pointed out). I've tried speaking to Nissan, a couple of tyre places, but no joy. The best suggestion given was to find out if a slightly different tyre size (one that is manufactured) would work, but Nissan just said "There's no such thing as a spare tyre for a 370Z", when obviously there is and what I'd like to know is where are all the tyres coming from for the countries where it's a legal requirement!?
Does anyone have any advice for me? I was hoping to get this resolved before my road trip through Europe in 2 weeks but I don't think that's gonna happen now!...

File this under "actually investigate on the car next time..."
I wanted to replace all 3 of my wiper blades, but Nissan don't sell a rear wiper blade refill, just the entire blade. So I bought the entire blade (287901EK0A) but when replacing the refills on the front I wondered if the passenger side refill (28895JF01A, 19") would fit the rear.
Turns out it does!
So for reference for anyone else looking this up (because I couldn't find any info, perhaps because everyone just measures them to realise they're the same), if you want to replace all 3 refills on your OEM 370Z windscreen wipers, you need:
- 1x 288951EA0A (driver)
- 2x 28895JF01A (passenger & rear)
This probably comes to about £20-25 in total. A lot cheaper than buying entire blades, and the refills take just a few seconds to swap. You can't get them the wrong way round when inserting them either, because they have a notch at one end.

Nissan has handed over three 370Z coupes to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to show its support for the men and women in service in the Japanese capital.
They feature a black and white livery as well as flashing lights, and if you look closely you’ll also notice the Nissan badge at the front has been replaced by the Tokyo police force’s shield.
The cars were specially prepared by Nismo using the 370Z Nismo as the donor. Under the hood is Nissan’s familiar 3.7-liter V-6 which in this application is tuned to deliver 350 horsepower.
Nissan provided the cars in response to a request by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department for an iconic car to help represent the department’s commitment to road safety in and around the city. It’s a similar strategy employed by the police in Dubai, although there the fleet is made up of exotics including the Bugatti Veyron and Porsche 918 Spyder.

We're aiming for about 6:30 at MK Dons. See you tomorrow!
-
Perhaps we should me things forward 30mins just to be safe?
I'm happy to go with a majority vote on this though.
I'm happy to bring things forward 30 minutes, I live 10 minutes from the stadium!

Just bits and pieces amongst all the talk about tickets in the main thread, and http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/107628-japfest-2016-arrival-time/.
But no big deal, just thought I'd ask. I'm definitely not going to complain about some extra sleep
Excited to meet everyone!
-
Based on the chatter in some other threads, don't we need to be getting there a little earlier than 8am?
-
Has everyone received emails from Japfest now then? Im sure when I booked the confirmation email said that we would receive our tickets no later than 2 weeks before the event...
Nope, not received anything yet, but it sounds like they’re having some issues so it doesn’t surprise me that they are delayed.

I need to be at Silverstone fairly early as i need to get into the club stand, who else has a car pass to get in?
I'm also on the club stand, so I need to get there early too!
-
Everyone still up for this? I'm going to start organising times and route soon

Bringing a mate who is down from Preston & I haven't seen for years who just happened to be visiting at the same time! Pretty excited; my first Japfest, and pleased to be able to get on the stand with you all

I waved at a 350z the other day when I was in my wife's Corsa...must've wondered who I was!

Instead of lead plates, Ohm brings in a more modern, two-part system: an EDLC supercapacitor capable of dumping enough energy to start your engine, and a set of smaller batteries (LiFePO4, which contain no toxic heavy metals) to keep things powered when the engine is off.
Techcrunch article, actual site.
Thoughts? Weight reduction...right?
-
I think the number plate started OV14.
We flashed lights, thumbs up to each other at the roundabout, it was all very emotional.
(Also, car looked stunning).
-
Good photo but you only took 1 photo in an hour !!!. Where are the others ?.
Oh alright
-
I managed to find a spot nearby that wasn't surrounded by hedges, and also had no traffic. After washing the car this afternoon, I then spent golden hour taking some photos; here's one of them (still working through them all).

Milton Keynes Evening Stadium Meet - Tuesday 6th June
in National Events & Shows
Posted
Oh hey! I had no idea this was happening, but coincidentally I was meeting up with a couple of other petrolheads for the evening, starting at the McDonalds car park round the corner, and spotted you all there.
Didn't have time to swing by and say hi, but looks like it was a great turnout anyway
