  1. Very nice job indeed! Is it possible to estimate how many hours it took all together?
  2. That's a great find! £30 a tyre cheaper than my previous best. £50 if I drop down to a 40 profile.
  3. That ICE install is loud! Luckily I live next to a river so half my neighbours are fish. Poor fish!
  4. After being lucky enough to purchase Slimjim's immaculate Zed I thought it was only right to carry on the ownership thread which was extremely interesting and useful to me when I decided to buy it. I'm very much enjoying the car as it is at the moment but I have a few ideas for what I want to do in the future. First up I'll soon need 2 new Michelin Pilot Super Sport 2 rear tyres Then once the MOT is out of the way in a couple of months I'll be thinking of a new exhaust. Stock just seems too quiet and polite for my liking so I'm currently looking at the Cobra (non-resonated).
  5. Am I reading this right, a company in Lancashire?! They seem to be few and far between! Great to hear the level of service you've had. I'll definitely bookmark them and use them in the future.
  6. Thank you very much James, it was a pleasure to meet you. I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with the car.
  7. Thanks to everyone that replied. I made notes on what to look out for and I think I'm settled on a pre-facelift version (unless a reasonably priced facelift becomes available).
  8. As much as I'd love the facelift version there seems to be a bit of a jump in price. With the budget I've got in mind I'm thinking it would be better to invest in a low mileage, full service history, pre-facelift version.
  9. A bit later than I hoped but this weekend I will begin my search for the (my) perfect Zed. I've decided to go for a pre-06, just to save on the huge tax jump. I've had a look at the New Members/Potential New Buyers FAQ page and I've had a scan through the forum but can anyone give me some extra tips to look out for? Perhaps based on personal experience. Or maybe I'm just being too cautious based on past experience...
  10. I personally hope you don't sell too soon, I need to shift my current car first before I can have a look!
  11. Indeed it is. The more I search for the perfect one, the clearer it becomes it might not be within a 60 mile radius.
  12. Great read whilst sat at my desk at work. You are my hero and inspiration.
  13. Thanks to everyone for their welcome's. Thanks Greg but you're a little too far South for me, I'm in Lancashire. Great collection you have though and I'm due to take the other half to that Harry Potter thing in Leavesden so 2 birds one stone
  14. Hello all! I'm a prospective owner, currently looking out for the 'right one'. I still need to decide on the version I want and what age (pre or post '06) so hoping to find some useful information on this site. I'm looking at spending around £8k if anyone has any quick tips. It's been a few years in the making. Around 4 years ago I couldn't decide between an RX8 or a 350z. Sadly I made the wrong choice and just under 2 years of ownership the engine in my RX8, like many, just gave up despite sparing no expense in its maintenance. Lovely car when it worked, I still miss it immensely to this day, but a very expensive mistake (I bought a couple of years before the prices nosedived).
