  1. without wanting to sound biased ive spent a fair while looking after around 1/4 of paisley freights UK shipping and wouldn't recommend them. Their prices are quite good but its for a reason, their customer service is shocking. They farm out most of the actual courier work to reputable firms so for the most part their delivery service is fine. Its just if it goes wrong thats the issue.

If i was sending something id go on parcels2go and pick TNT/UPS or use the interlink service DPD now offer. DPD would be my best recommendation for private mail though.

DPD were one of the worst companies outside of Herpes a few years back. Something has definitely happened as they're absolutely brilliant now.......to the point where I'm tempted to write to them to congratulate on not being 'totally useless' which is my general definition for 95% of any service providing company in the UK

I know the courier industry inside out and they are easily the best residential courier out there. Business wise TNT still reign king.

    Please not Hermes :(

Don't get me started on Herpes :surrender:

Hydrocortisone creme soon clears it up

  3. As titled

For sale is a japspeed K2 exhaust + centre pipe making it Y-Pipe back. Please note IT DOES RATTLE, not so bad when warm but like a bag of spanners when cold. It will need welding/drilling and bolting. Paste does nothing. Other than that its in good condition. No major scrapes or dents. Unknown mileage as it came with the car. Looking for £80 collected from the de12 postcode. Courier can be arranged but at own cost.

This has now been welded but is untested. Also buffed and shines nicely.

Pictures available on request of the cats + more of the K2 if needed

Also for sale are a set of standard GT wheels (not rays). All 4 wheels in fairly good nick but will need a refurb if you want them to look half decent. All 4 have legal tyres on but their budget brands and very close to the limit so will need replacing. Looking for £200 collected from DE12

    EDIT:

Now for sale is my beloved Megan Racing rear wing as purchased through the group buy thread on here. The item was never fitted and will come exactly as i recieved it from the states. Looking for £430 collected or £450 posted.

  4. I used to build and fly RC aircraft a while back. No realism involved but was still good fun putting it all together and whatnot. Until i crashed about a grands worth of hardware into the same tree within about 2 hours and couldnt afford to replace it. Done plenty of airfix as a kid too. Excellent transferable skills when trying to repaint a 350z bumper using a rattlecan

That's really cool, apart from the crashing part obviously. :D I've never built any air craft but have always fancied having a go although my mate bought an expensive helicopter which he never even got off the ground before it ended up for sale on eBay which put me off. I do have a Thunder Tiger TS4N 1/10th scale car though which I have spent a ridiculous amount of money on. Needless to say it is now a "shelf Queen" and I never use it for fear of crashing it & smashing up several hundred pounds worth of carbon, titanium & aluminium parts.

helicopters are a nightmare to fly. Imagine trying to drive while making a cheese toastie. Bit of a struggle. The planes were fairly straightforwards to fly and nice and intricate to build. Suddenly realizing that your £500 aircraft that took 50ish hours to build has just gone nose first into a tree and is now in more pieces that you started with is very upsetting. Moreso that when i accidentally reversed into my girlfriend

  6. the voltex wing is a bit too wide for an s2k but on the 350 it looks fantastic. Ive toyed with the idea but their around £2000 landed in the UK which is a bit too steep for my liking. Plus id be terrified of someone smashing it. Either clipping it in a car park as it slightly extends out of the side of the car or trying to break it down the middle.

looks nice with the TS diffuser too. even better on a black cart i bet

  7. i went for the 18'' grid drifts to keep the speedo accurate. plus the fact that alot of other cars cant run 19's without alot of work. Should i sell the 350z or it gets written off i have a useable set of wheels. Plus i dont like the dished look and tyres are easier to get and cheaper. If you want some pics of my wheels on a stock ride height just shout.

  8. i much prefer gtechniq G5. its about £10 for 50ml or something but ive done about 10 cars @ 3 coats each and barely used any. Lasts around 2 months too. Top stuff.

At £3 a go rain-x is still worth using.

  9. Rain-ex!!

You don't need wipers. In fact wipers are old hat to be honest.

i usually give the glass a coat of Gteqnic g4 which does basically the same thing but havnt got round to topping it up.

150MPH in the rain Fair play

150 was on a moist bit of road, still in the air though and the screen was a bit damp still. Cant half cover some ground at that speed and the car didnt even care. No different that going 70.

  10. just a quick one.

After a long drive last week and a brief 150mph stint my wipers lifted off the screen and just smeared water over the screen, meaning i needed to slow down to 80 to clear my screen during rainy patches. Anything over 100 and their just useless. Is this a common issue or has the dealer that sold me the car put some cheap blades on there?

  11. cant beat quality tools. My dad worked for rolls royce and when he swapped jobs they let him keep all of the tools he'd accumilated over 20 years. Included was a 100 piece ratchet set that according to the leaflet inside was billet stainless steel (their a german brand and its badly translated) Makes jobs so much easier as they take all the punishment i can give them. Whereas the cheap halfords ratchet set i broke lasted about a month before the ratchet packed up and i'd cracked some of the sockets.

  12. i was once in a strip club and was insulted by one of them straight off the bat. She came and sat herself down next to me, started playing with my hair and then announced "you dont have this cut very often do you" in the same tone that your granny uses when she's annoyed at you. Needless to say my wallet stayed firmly shut.

  13. Ive allways worked on my own cars when possible. last service for the 350z cost me £120 for oil, plugs, filters, belts and a HKS air filter and took me a morning to do. Same kind of service at some reputable places on here would have been £400 or so. Im not put off at all by DIY service because as mentioned there are some very good home mechanics out there. If the guy i buy the car from seems genuine and knows their stuff then why not.
