  1. Was the reason behind this question to find a way to bypass the DVD player cut out when the car is moving ?
  2. I've got used to the system in my 5 series which has never missed a beat in the UK or abroad. I think I'll still update the maps in the Z but maybe look at getting a good iphone mount so I can use the satnav on the phone as a secondary backup.
  3. Thanks for the answers lads Think I may go for an update as suggested. I did check how many satellites were being received on the one occasion and it said 8.
  4. Sorry to say it Will, but glad it's not only me then Heading from Leeds to Doncaster was downright disastrous for me. It completely cocked up when changing from M621 to M1 to M62. It just changed it's mind repeatedly. I guess there is no fix for it then. I wonder if updating the maps would help ? Cheers Will
  5. Hi, Had a decent 500 mile drive over the weekend in the 370z. I had all my destinations pre saved into the Sat Nav to save time. I had a major issue on 3 or 4 occasions though with the sat nav throwing a wobbly. Exiting a motorway junction on a couple of occasions, the arrow seemed to float off the road and didn't know where I was. This was on old established junctions - not where roads have changed layout at all in years. Also on occasion, after taking a change of direction at a major junction, the arrow was running parallel with the actual road I was on (about half an inch on the screen to the side of the actual road I was on. At one motorway intersection, it caused me to go wrong when as I approached the junction I should change to, it initially showed the correct direction, but then suddenly jumped to show a different route, before the arrow just lost it's way over none existent roads... Anyone else had this ? Is there a reset procedure or anything to solve it or is it faulty ? Cheers.
  6. I'll be down there in a few weeks so will give it a try. Updated to the latest maps ? Did you get them from Nissan ? Thanks again. Me too.
  7. I've driven around Hammersmith, Fulham & Wimbledon a few times but never seen this on my Connect Premium system. What map settings are you using ? Birds eye view I presume ? Thanks for sharing
  8. Mine did this when I filled up this morning. Last two dots not illuminated. Returned home, parked the car for a couple of hours, when I got in later, back to just the last one missing.
  9. Have just spoken to Nissan who have told me to take it to the main dealer as it may be a fault. I'll post back when I get chance to take it in if they solve it.
  10. Update. Had a little more feedback from the GPS Position function today - It picked up 9 satellites and gave me a calculation figure, but still no approx altitude. Still no info on the weather / forecast display...
  11. Does anyone else have the same issue ? Whenever I top the car up with fuel, the gauge ALWAYS has the last red dot missing.
  12. Hi everyone, Been trying to get a bit of hands on experience with the Connect Premium system in the Z. I've come across a few features within the menu for :- 1) Weather 2) Forecast They are found by pressing "INFO" / "TRAFFIC INFORMATION" I've tried clicking on these. Once when there is no route set and also when I have set a route. Both times I get a "No weather / info is currently been received" (I know - it should be "being" and not "been" - but that is what the sat nav says ) I've also tried to use the "GPS Position" function ("INFO" / "GPS Position") All I get is a Latitude and Longitude figure. Calculation remains blank, as does approx altitude. Am I missing something here ? Thanks in advance folks
  13. Same here. I have 09-10 MAP No1 (X1E32018) on my Connect Premium HDD system. Can I be added to the list please lads ?
  14. Well, they are rarer that hens teeth here in Italy. I've been here a week now and covered many miles but have not seen a single 370 in any form. Haven't seen a single car without evidence of a shunt either...
  15. Yep ! Told you it was good stuff
  16. Not me then... I'll keep my eyes peeled for this other Z with the private plate in future
  17. I've been using it for 5 years or so and not had any skin irritation from it but fair do's if you are concerned - good advice, use a latex glove.
  18. No worries Once the wheels are prepared (fully cleaned and spotless) I apply a coat of FK1000p by hand. Leave for 20 minutes, then buff off to a nice shine. If time is on my side, I will add a further coat and buff again. I don't need to bother with individually waxing them after that. A quick blast with the jet wash and a bucket of shampoo will get them immaculate again. The brake dust comes off very easily after applying the FK1000p. The FK1000p is incredible value for money as well. You get a massive 412g tin for around £18. It'll last you years !
  19. I get the wheels off the car to do the backs. When I do the face of the wheel, I apply with my index finger, before buffing with a microfibre. By using my index finger, I can get into all the nooks and fa.. sorry, crannies. If you are not comfortable with using your bare hands, then you can get finger mitt applicators from most online detailing stores. For what it's worth, I also use Finish Kares FK1000p High Temp sealant. It is awesome stuff and protects the wheels for months and months. HTH
  20. Welcome aboard James. I'm a relative newbie on here too. Got my 370 in March and I'm not far from you here in Dudley. I gather you spotted me in the Z yesterday....
  21. It has got a private plate on mate yes. Mine is Black Rose. Where abouts did you spot it and what time ?
  22. I tell you what has been common in Dudley this week.... People bloody harassing me at lights trying to get me to drag race them. I never had this much attention in my Z4.
  23. Hope so buddy as iv always wonted to put my 2 fingers up to another z driver I do that to any drivers on a regular basis What colour is your Z then - I'll keep 'em peeled
