  1. Cheers Keyser - I'll be giving it a try tomorrow
  2. Thanks for the advice Keyser I know what you mean about where the "flat tyre jacking points" are, but the axle stands I have are Halfords ones with just an arched piece of steel on the top. Do you mean to place the top of the axle stand just inside that ridged seam ? Sorry to be a PITA but I just don't want to make a mistake having not used axle stands before. Cheers.
  3. Hi guys, I've got a low profile trolley jack and know where the jacking points are, but can anyone put a picture up of where ideally I should place axle stands ? I know it might sound a bit of a thick question but I've never used axle stands before. Just relied on the trolley jack. Cheers
  4. I had an E85 Z4 3.0 auto. I now have a 370z GT Auto and the box in the 370 is way better than the Z4. An absolute delight to drive in either full auto of using the paddles. I love it !
  5. Mine is the same. Not a problem with the LED itself I don't think as it has lit up a few times, but more often than not, it remains unlit. On rare occasions, the last two LED's are unlit after filling to the brim. I use Shell V-Power exclusively.
  6. Fair do's, my mistake. I typed in ELM327 Bluetooth IOS on Ebay and quite a few came up saying bluetooth and mentioned moth IOS and Android - like this one :- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WIFI-iCar-iV350-ELM327-OBD2-Diagnostic-Scanner-USB-Bluetooth-For-iOS-Android-/121326363523?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c3f9d6383 A bit of a misleading advert heading so a good job I ran it by your people first. So wi-fi it is. Thanks again.
  7. Why won't bluetooth work with an IOS device ? The Ebay links above all state that they will work via bluetooth Do these apps (dashcommand / car doctor) allow you to adjust anything (such as alarm bleep on/off) or is it just read only ? Cheers
  8. No worries ! Is that definitely OK for the 370 ? (Probably a daft question) Thanks again.
  9. The same one as veef13 ? Do you lads use dashcommand ? Cheers so far
  10. Thinking of getting an OBD2 reader that will work with an iphone via bluetooth, possibly to work with Dashcommand which I've read about on this forum. Can anyone point me in the right direction for a suitable bluetooth reader for the 370z ? Cheers
  11. Cheers ! What price were you offered for the FX warranty ?
  12. Ridiculous isn't it ? Do any of you lads have a warranty with other people ? I must get around to posting a few more pics of the car. This is one was taken after a two day detailing session. One of the things I love about the Black Rose colour is that it looks different every time you look at it. Almost black here.
  13. Had the 370GT for 10 months now and have enjoyed every second of it. Only issue I've had has been with the erratic sat nav but I can live with that. Just had a lovely letter drop through the letterbox - from Nissan Warranty. They would like to remind me that the Main Dealer warranty expires at the end of February, and would like to very kindly offer me the opportunity to purchase a further 12 months peace of mind with an extended warranty. How much ? £799. No thanks.
  14. Anyone seen or purchased one of these ? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wireless-Reverse-Camera-For-Nissan-GT-R-Pulsar-Cube-Fairlady-350Z-370Z-UK-/371214834280?pt=UK_In_Car_Technology&hash=item566e20da68
  15. Absolutely a 10 plate. Good luck with the purchase.
  16. Cheers Will. I'll have a look for the thread myself. If you do find it though, please post it up By using the button in the centre console - but you need the ignition on or the car running to do it.
  17. Hi everyone, I know when I press the button on the door handle and hold it, the roof will open up. However, it doesn't do the reverse - I mean if it's already open, holding the button on the door handle has no effect and won't close the roof. Is mine faulty or is that just the way they operate ? I used to have a Z4 and it was a major bonus being able to open and close the roof remotely using just the key fob. Cheers
  18. Drove both and decided on the auto. An absolute joy to drive especially with the paddle shift which is amazing. All personal preference at the end of the day and only you can decide what is right for you. Either way, you won't be disappointed.
  19. I had a similar problem on my 5 series a few months ago. The garage said it was the caliper pistons (I think) which they removed and copper greased. It solved the problem at any rate. Not sure if it's the same thing you are experiencing...
  20. Cheers Gixxer I have just been put off the task slightly though by a "how to" video on youtube. Looks like a mammoth job
  21. Great mods Can the reversing light bulbs be swapped for LED's without any issues (errors) ? I've done the interior lights and number plate lights without any issues.
  22. RIght. Don't think it's anything to do with what's in the boot as the GPS antenna is under the nearside dashboard I think - so the link between my empty boot space and a fault free nav experience were clutching at straws.
  23. Ahhh. Where is the Sat Nav antenna then ? Reason I ask is that when I was having the issues last week, the boot was jam packed at the time. On top of all the luggage was my jacket which oddly enough, does have reflective strips on it. It's funny as I have had long journeys with the boot empty(ish) and the Sat Nav was faultless
